There were so many different activities and places for the kids to play imaginatively. From the Burde blind to the stump jump in the massive treehouse with the hidden swings underneath, it is a child's dream playground. I can't wait to keep him back here and discover all the little things. We enjoyed seeing the animal ambassadors, especially Blue the turkey and it was a really good lesson to my kids about not domesticating wild animals. I wish it was easier to see some of the animals and some of them are mislabeled, especially on the side by the playground. Special tip; if you have a library card, the Howell nature center has a free pass with the Michigan activity pass. You can reserve for up to four people in your family. This is an absolutely amazing deal and we had a blast. Additional tip- pack a sack lunch and enjoy the picnic tables up at the steep hill by the fox and the deer. It's very peaceful and scenic and a wonderful place for the kids to run around safely, see the animals, and have a nice picnic lunch in the semi shade.

I was concerned my son wouldn't try riding a horse, but they somehow convinced him to try it with Rocky and he loved it! My daughter was already to hop right on America and she loved interacting and groom the horses as well. There was so much going on everyday, I can't even touch on everything in this one review! We liked Wildwood Ranch Day Camp so much, we are scheduling two weeks again this summer!

He was dropped off at the Vet clinic and they started CC all around him. Pretty awesome. It's not a massive space so it was perfect to get there at 3:30pm - in time for the 4pm show which is followed by an Al the Alligator feeding! We checked out all the habitats on the outside as well. Super cool experience - I'd love to come back for one of their turtle yoga, 18+ paint nights, etc. They always have pretty cool themed programming. Our family is still new-ish to…read moreGrand Rapids -- we moved here two years ago from Chicago -- and Farm School quickly became like a second family to our 3.5yo son. Born a COVID baby, he has always loved to play independently, but struggled in group situations. The staff and owners are incredibly compassionate and caring -- encouraging our son to play with others, but at his own pace. He has completely come out of his shell over this school year. It has been a joy to see the daily updates on the Brightwheel app (which teachers update during the school day), so that even when I am at work, I can relish in the absolute joy of a time our son is having at school. Time spent outdoors and with the animals is not only great for our high energy boy to blow off steam, but teaches so many life skills (outside of a classroom) that are so necessary to early childhood development. Their approach to early childhood education is incredible -- keeps all the content fun for kids, but with incredible impact. To compare his self-portrait and handwritten name from the beginning to the end of the year is insane! His end of year book brought me to tears -- and made me feel even more blessed to be a part of the Canterbury Creek family. In fact, this morning on our way to drop off, he told me he was so sad that school was over and that he would miss it over the summer. Good thing we will be back for Summer Camp and next school year. I cannot wait to sign up my 2.5yo daughter next!

He is currently a second year in the primary class. He has thrived in this atmosphere and without question stands out from his non Montessori peers. Stepping Stones is a private entity with reasonable tuition rates. I love the fact the lead guides have been there for a long time and are really invested in the welfare (saftey and development) of the students. There is a focus on the environment/nature, foreign language (Spanish), music, art and Yoga. This place is pretty impressive. Many parents send their children to traditional day cares where they learn little. You just have to observe to believe that the Montessori method works. I come from a traditional schooling approach and am amazed by this school, faculty, instruction and the resulting kids.
