They genuinely appreciate children, have a deep understanding of child development, and have decades of experience between them. As such, they treat children as they deserve to be treated, respecting them as people and helping them to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Our children learned that at Abbott, they and their classmates are all friends, and so they were encouraged to cooperate, support, and learn from one another. My children enjoyed going to school, formed lasting friendships and attachments to their teachers, and were well prepared for kindergarten when it was time to enter elementary school.

There were obviously exceptions to the norm, but I was not at all prepared for college. The facilities are very good. I was the last class to graduate from the 'old' high school, and I really wish I could have had at least one year in the 'new' one. The class selection is not very good. Even Webberville has a better selection of classes, and the superintendent who is currently running the schools sounds like an incompetent idiot.

I believe that the teachers are well educated and are willing to go that extra mile to help the children that need extra help. We are school of choice and they provide bus transportation for my Child, we just have to meet down the rd at an alternative bus stop, which is 2 minutes down the road instead of having to drive the 15 minutes in. The Teachers are also very encouraging to the students, and they now offer online courses in which you get your full diploma for high school students.

I was there before they changed to a 5/6 school and 7/8 school. We were actually the last class to go through traditionally. I remember most, that Waverly was great preparation for college. Almost all of my classmates went on to higher education. I also remember the great after school activities that the district planned for us to keep us out of "trouble". Sports were fun and we were good competition for other area schools. If I still lived in Michigan, and Waverly Community Schools were the same, I would definitely send my children here!
