Went in for a coolant issue and they told me everything wrong BUT the coolant issue. They took it on a "test drive" and beat the ever living crap out of it, actually ran worse after than before I brought it to them. Seat was messed up, radio was messed up. Every control in the truck was messed with. And on top of all of that they tried to charge me EXTRA for things they didn't touch on the truck. I was told I needed $5,000 in repairs. The diagnostic I was told was done was supposed to include ink. I got 2nd opinion and there was no ink , there was no leak but what looked like messy oil change had been done. The brakes were clearly around 50% not 20. So disappointed in the changes that have happened at Lonsbury Garage. read more

Told me i had a faulty transmission (only one day of having an issue with the car) and I took it took it to a Nissan repair facility and they stated transmission was fine and it was just wire harness a mouse got to. A simple visual inspection would have discovered this issue which lonsbury didn't do. :-( read more

spent thousands for wife's breaks at Lonsbury for them to try to tell us her strut was bent when we gave it to them (it wasn't, we have proof). her car came back with bent strut - all messed up. I wouldn't take a dying frog to this place - they need a visit from the better business bureau. read more

I contacted Lonsburys after finding a problem with the brakes that they replaced pads late last year. when work was completed, I drive the truck home and noticed the front right brake sticking and smoking because of getting burning hot. I brought it back and was told nothing was wrong, and probabaly just because they were new. So I drove the truck home and being it's a summer only truck it literally sat until the other day. I take it out and not even a mile down the road it's smoking again. I look over it closely and realized the hardware was completely missing that holds the brake caliper in place. It was sticking intermittently because it was lose and luckily didn't fall out which would have caused a crash. I found a the steering column was also lose the day before and they had touched that at same time of brakes so I decided to message them as I was very upset. The owner immediately blamed an ex employee who never touched and hadn't worked there for over a year. Then proceeded to complain about a neutral 3/5 review on Google that I had left the day before being I kept having to fix things I already had in shop for. It was very unprofessional. He said sorry for how I felt but never sorry it happened in the first place and never asked how he could make it right. I was still annoyed after the Convo and left a non recommendation Facebook review saying "don't treat your customers like garbage" and apparently the business owner thought it was acceptable to then ban me from the page because of leaving negative feedback. I can't even reply to their own messages to me. I messaged the owners cell phone a day later and was told after I left the non recommendation review he couldn't let me say more. I wish I could give them no star rating.Omg horrible experience I'm out 180$ in parts and 500$ in labor. Plus I still need to get clutch redone again I don't even have 3000 miles on clutch. They won't fix it or work with me nor do I think the guy at counter even knows anything. he insisted it couldn't be there fault. But that it was the parts. Apparently I have a hydraulic clutch... NO ITS A CABLE. To sum it up they didn't adjust the clutch cable and allowed the throw out bearing to stay in contact with clutch so now I need to replace the throw out bearing. I can't believe they won't even work with me that is so shady. DO NOT GO HERE. You are better off stopping by a 10 year old outside working on his bike. read more

BEWARE SUPER RIP OFF !! Took vehicle to Lonsbury to "replace AC condenser". After they force charged us $119.95 to diagnose that we needed to "replace AC condenser" they provided a written estimate to "replace AC condenser" for $1,330.37. I quickly referred them to RepairPal which provided the average cost to replace the AC condenser in our area on our specific vehicle was $584-$702. While they were belittling RepairPal estimate I called the local Angola Chevy dealer and Jeff quickly gave me an estimate of $650 without charging $120. Lonsbury actually acknowledged that the dealer estimate was less than half of what they wanted to charge us then told me how "honest and upfront" they are with customers and that the Chevy dealer just wasn't "as thorough" in their work. Are you kidding me ?? I just picked the vehicle up from harold chevrolet, paid $647.61 for the exact same job Lonsbury provided a $1,450.32 written estimate for. Lonsbury was attempting to charge over 122% more than the actual Chevrolet dealer for the exact same job !! read more

We were new in town in Nov. 2013. We needed work on our vehicle and 'everybody' stated, "you have to go to these guys, they are the best in town". We took our vehicle to them for advice and after a oil change, the recommendation was we needed hoses, gaskets, and a bunch of other items totaling around $500. We took it back for the hoses and another guy (who stated he was the owner) called and said, "I don't know why the other guy said you needed all these other work, but you don't". We had some hoses changed, and after we left the garage, the vehicle was not running well, sputtering, backfiring and dying. We went back and were told, "Oh we knocked off some hose connections when we were making the repairs". Twice more we took our vehicle to them and both other times we had to take it right back for 'tweaking' as they had a problem _they_ caused. We are not going back and we don't suggest you to either. read more

I would not recommend anyone to ever come here to get their car fixed it was the worst experience I've ever had I took my car in to be fixed a week later they called me and said it was running great and I could pick it up so I picked it up drove it to work and realized the car was still having problems I called and told them the car still isn't running right and I wanted it fixed so I took the car back they told me it was a different problem so I said ok fix it called me a week later said we drove it it runs great I go and pick it up and it dies on me in about 200 feet from the shop I call them up and tell them again my car is still not running right they tell me I'm sorry we fixed what we could there is nothing else we can do so I drove it up there and my check engine light was on so I told them to check my codes so they did the owner said let me drive it he gets in and doesn't even make it 200 feet down the road and tells me you can't drive this let me look at it after already telling me that there was nothing else they could do now they can fix it mind you they have already soaked me 800.00 and haven't fixed the problem so I leave it because I was stranded they call me and tell me you needed a fuel pump another 400.00 so now I have 1200 in the car they tell me it's ready drives great get it home and all my coolant is leaking out of my car and it never even leaked a drop before I took it here I refuse to even take it back at this time because it sounds like they are causing more problems for me than fixing them read more
