I took my car to another store in town when…read moreit started making a high pitched squealing sound, thinking it was my brake pads, and they told me that it was actually my ball joints and control arms on both my front tires. They said it was an urgent fix that needed to be done, and quoted me $1318. CRAZY. I decided to get a second opinion from Old Hickory after it was recommended to me by someone who lives locally. I dropped it off around 9:45 am, and by 10:30 am they had called me to tell me that they had found a slight crack in the ball joint boots, but that there was no slack in them or the control arms. The man told me that if it was his car, he wouldn't have anything done to it and that I could come get my car. NOT ONLY did they save me $1300, but in addition, they charged me $0 FOR THE INSPECTION!! The other car place was SERIOUSLY trying to take advantage of me as a college girl who came in by herself. I am so thankful to the workers at Old Hickory and will definitely be back if I ever have any car troubles at all!

They waited for the warranty to run out first. We've been loyal customers of Toyota for 20 years - until now. Courtney Hughes (service manager) is the one trying to get us to pay for half of this. UPDATE: Lynn Webb and Spencer Richardson fought for us and they are covering the repairs, so I bumped the 1 star review up to a 3 STAR review only BECAUSE of Lynn and Spencer fighting for us. We've dealt with Lynn for years and he's always been a straight shooter. Courtney didn't have the COURAGE to call us herself. She does not belong in a management role.

As I pass by this shop, I began to see how well the property is maintained, so when my truck had issues, this was the first place I considered. I found the number online. When I called, I was promptly transferred to Steve. On this call he listened attentively to my concerns and helped me schedule repairs. I was informed of the lockbox for evening drop offs, as an added convenience. Steve called the next day with an assessment and recommendations to save us both time and resources. Also, I was explained the cost, invoiced estimates, and time of expected of service completion. He was courteous and professional. The time estimate was earlier than expected and we were happy with our overall experience.
