Long-term rental has great pricing and reliable cars; Christina and Emil make all the difference. They transform a rental agreement into a positive and stress-free experience. It's because of dedicated people like them that I'm such a loyal customer. Christina is a problem-solver. She doesn't just meet my requests; she goes above and beyond, tackling situations and turning a headache into smooth sailing. Emil can be on vacation, yet he takes the time to address any situation. Dedicated people like them really make my day. read more

I've been renting cars for over 4 months consecutively while I shopped for my new EV Car. They are reliable, responsive and have great rates. I highly recommend Long Term Car of San Diego. read more

Our original San Diego Airport Budget car rent option was a great deal not realizing via priceline per Budget agent at the airport our reservation was near the mexican border. UGH! Searched for low cost long term car rentals and this had good reviews. We need for nearly a month in April, called them last minute and they took care of us. Christina office manager and Olivia were great. Car in April was an older 4 door Hundai, little noisy but was good for our needs and cant beat the price $625. We are going back for a month in June (new grandson) and Christina setup us up. read more

I am so glad a found them! I had no idea you can rent cars for a longer term, a few months in my case. I was only familiar with the super expensive daily rate rental cars, or overly long leases on new cars, neither of which suited my needs. Long term car was the better option here and worked out excellent! Thank you LTC! read more

I have been renting from Long Term for almost 6 years now and have ALWAYS received EXCELLENT customer service!!! Except during COVID, I've used them at least 1-2x/year when I go to San Diego to visit my mom. Emil, Christina and Ashley all make customer satisfaction a top priority! Long Term listens to your needs and gets you set up with a car for a reasonable price. Ashley is soooo professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly and sincere! She has EXCEPTIONAL customer service skills! Emil and Christina are absolutely wonderful and very accommodating! I don't even consider other car rental agencies..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Support this small business and receive the car you want for the price you need!!! read more

I rented a Kia in good faith 2 yrs ago. Picked up car. Completely worn out. Took pictures drove anyway. Turned in car. Pictures didnt matter to them - Total nightmare. Told me I owed $3000 damages ALL ALREADY ON WORN CAR. Reached out later to attempt settlement was treated horribly by a witch named Christina who stated she was owner when I tried to speak to someone else. She's probably not. Contact me to join class action suit. DO NOT RENT HERE, BE WARNED! Lottjohnny@yahoo.com Owner (if not Christina) Please reach out to me. read more

Emil and Diana are great! Emil has kept touch and gives great advice. They have the best deals in the state. Their deals are better than any service out there. Even better than those places that has cheap in their name. Their cars are pretty good and they ensure to keep steady communication with their customers. I'm glad that I ran across this company because they are a great business and actually care about their customers and the community. They truly have great prices and great cars. The offer regular vehicles and premium which are around 2018 Base models. They get a great amount of business because of their fair deals. I highly recommend that you book a reservation if you are in need of a vehicle because you can also rent monthly. They will be sure to help you. Check them out! I have searched all of their website and they literally do not have any long term (28 days or more) rentals at the discounted (monthy) price. If it's one day less than 28 days then you pay double. This is almost a scam. read more

This was a great help for me when I was in town for the summer and needed a car temporarily. The prices are super reasonable, the staff was responsive and friendly, and it was a great experience overall. The cars themselves aren't fancy but they drive fine and that's all I can ask for. When there was an issue with the tire on the car I rented, they assisted me in getting it fixed and it was a quickly rectified issue. They did switch the cars on me as compared to what I had originally booked and also swapped out one car after a month, but this minor inconvenience was worth the low prices and the experience booking with them overall. read more

HANDS-DOWN the best car rental service in San Diego. I've rented from here twice now and there has never been any issues. Emil is a fantastic person and he responds quickly. I have never experienced any hidden fees, which every other car rental place tries to screw me over with. Emil is flexible and tries to work with his customers so that he can provide them with whatever needs they have. What you see is what you get! 10/10 would recommend to anyone. read more

Customer service is the best. Cars are in good condition. Whole process was simple and the rates are the best in San Diego. All the positive reviews are for real. read more

These are the kinds of small businesses that I love to support! I was in San Diego for business. I needed a car for the week. I spoke with Diane at San Diego Car Rentals. She said our cars are about three to five years old and are in excellent condition. I really don't need a brand new rental car. I saved easily a few hundred dollars compared to the usual car rentals at the airport. My four year old car was in great running condition. It had 55K miles on it and ran beautifully. It was clean inside and out and the body was damage free. I recommend San Diego Car rentals if you want to save some bucks. PS...remember to bring your lock box code (she will email you the code) to get your rental car keys when you arrive. read more

The service was exceptional but I never got a chance to rent a vehicle because they only allow you to drive it as far as LA and I needed to go out of state and back, but it's a great rental company if you need a car locally read more

They are horrible in communication with you and then threaten to report your car as stolen. Plus give you cars your didn't order. I was paying over $500 a month for a car with no cruise control and dents. read more

That's right Emil. I'm just a loud-mouth, disgruntled customer who can't follow the rules. Perfect. I understand it's your word against mine. You're the long-time businessman, I'm just a little rule-breaker. I know I can't win a war of words with you. You're just too clever. You've been doing what you're doing for a long time now, I'm guessing the better part of 20 years. The truth of the matter is that you're a scam-artist, and a pretty good one at that. You certainly stole my money, and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. Nothing you said here is true, but you already know that. You bamboozled me into signing that third month. You had promised that you had a more desirable car coming back in, and that I would have dibs on that one. Obviously I needed a car, and I trusted you were a man of your word, only to learn that you (or someone on your awesome, family-owned team) gave that car to someone else. You were condescendingly unapologetic while you were stealing my money. You're a liar. And a thief. And a punk. I imagine you'll get yours, but I can't be certain. You've been getting away with your nonsense for decades now. I just wanted to do my best for you here. You know you shouldn't be allowed to do what you're doing. Your customers deserve a fair warning as to what they're getting into. I'm just here to help. You keep doing you. read more

Love these guys! Best price and service in town. We rented a white Mustang convertible. I recommend that you rent from them, I do for every trip to San Diego. read more

Awesome car rental business! I have been renting a car from this business since March and I am very happy with the car and their customer service. Plus their rates are a huge plus. Wow, best car rental experience I've ever had! Everything was so fast, no lines at checkin or checkout, no upselling. Emil runs this business so well and everything goes very smoothly. I always like the cars I rent from San Diego Car Rentals better than my own cars. I am a return customer, one can save a small fortune renting a used car. I consider Emil a friend after the professional, courteous way he runs his business. This business is the only way I am able to come to San Diego for extended periods. Highly reccomend them. read more

We needed a car for two weeks. I telephoned ahead and spoke to Diane - she was so polite and extremely efficient. I asked so many questions but she had all the answers. You won't find a better place to do a long-term car rental! Emil is very professional and treats you like a life-long friend. Whenever I have a question or need assistance, he is quick to respond with helpful solutions. My experience with this company has been nothing shy of a five-star service. I once locked my keys in the rental, in the rain, with a dying phone -- Emil handled the situation so quickly and had help sent my way immediately to save the day! On top of great customer service, the pricing is so competitive. I feel lucky to have fallen into the hands of a company that actually cares for the customer. Thank you San Diego Car Rentals and to Emil for being so helpful! read more

These guys are awsome. This is my second time getting a rental from them. Monthly rental rates are affordable, and the office works with you if you need a little time with money for the next month. They are also quick to get you back on the road if you have any problems at all. I rented a car for over 3 months. In that time i needed the battery swapped out once. And then there was a leak another time, and I needed brakes changed another time. They got a tow out to me and gave me a loaner car until they fixed the car. Its great not having to worry about maintenance. All I had to do was call and say what was wrong and they handled it or sent me to the shop for maintenance. Im almost sad that my car is done being repaired because I will miss the customer service. I know i will use them again tho. Thaks guys for being so awsome.!! read more

This place is a Godsend! Rental car prices have skyrocketed. I needed reliable, reasonably priced transportation for a month in San Diego. I got a nice car, a little older, not flashy, for a great price. On arrival, staff were professional and got me on my way fast. Highly recommend! read more

We just completed a very positive experience with Emil and this company. We rented a vehicle, which provided reasonable travel throughout our one month stay in San Diego. Unfortunately, I did not pay enough attention to the 28 day requirement and returned the car late. That was my error and Diane just charged me an additional fee. These cars are older, but seem to be very reliable. I plan to rent another vehicle when I come to visit this area again next year. The cost of renting from Emil is amazingly cheaper than renting from a larger commercial car rental agency for a long period of time. read more
