Service was friendly all around. Normally in America, Afternoon Tea is never filling enough. But Tiny Tim's Afternoon Tea pleasantly stuffed me full of food and calories. It just could've used a few more sweets...quite lovely otherwise! £26/$35 Afternoon Tea Service (+£3 with prosecco)...Lovely! Almost perfect, it's a more savory than sweet Afternoon Tea. Top level: A collection of Tiny Tim's cakes and desserts...a nice delectable and decadent tasting set of cakes and desserts, but we didn't get anything chocolate related, and it could've used a 2-3 extra pieces of sweet things. Mid Level: The very BEST scones on the island of Britain! Warm, rich, thick, soft, buttery...we got a cheddar scone, and a blueberry scone, both were divine! Bottom Level: 4 freshly made finger sandwiches, extra soft and extra long. Smoked salmon, cucumber, roast beef, and curry chicken...lovely!

The tea selection was large, my dining companion had Darjeeling tea and I had a lovely apple herbal tea. I ordered a huffkin, which I learned was a Kent sandwich. The bread was exceptionally light and the warm goat cheese and bacon jam paired well together. My companion ordered the rarebit and it was two large pieces of mustardy cheese goodness. We originally came for the scones. The scones are anything but tiny!!! The raisin scones were very light but I could not finish it, they are meant to be shared. This was my first experience with English food that I really enjoyed.

Nestled off one of the main streets, this small establishment packs a big punch with traditional decor and a tasty afternoon tea menu. Everything from the service to the food and tea were delicious and served for a great pick me up in the middle of touring the town for the day.

We decided that we were long overdue to go back as it's been two years and we were in the area. We'd also heard that the Cobbles is under new management. But don't worry, it's exactly the same! We were welcomed at the door by the new owners who showed us to a table and we proceeded to order loads of food! We decided to go in before the lunchtime rush (11ish) and were the only people there for a good 30 minutes! I had coffee, a cheese scone (you've got to have the cheese scones, they are delicious!), a jacket potato with beans, and then a piece of coffee cake for dessert. Elle had gunpowder tea, a cheese scone (gotta have one! - not gluten free though) a gluten free toasted ham and cheese sandwich and some gluten free chocolate cake! Everything was delicious, the service was excellent, the waiting staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We sat with the sun shining through the door, with little sparrows, robins and other little birds flying up to the door and looking back at us. It was a really wonderful start to a day and I can't recommend them highly enough, they never disappoint and everything is exactly the same as they had been when we last visited. Ate everything before I thought about photographs lol....Can't wait to visit again.....

Kind of ashamed I didn't review this place last year when we visited. So last year we were on our…read morehoneymoon and my wife's birthday was during our trip. All she wanted for her birthday was a nice afternoon tea. We left London and were basically driving sort of toward the coast just stopping wherever we found a tea shop. Unfortunately, every tea shop we hit was closed because of some bank holiday we were unaware of. Except one! We got to Glynde, parked outside this tea shop, went in, and found a large sign that said "cash only". OMG this wasn't our day. We had to go to the next town over to use the ATM which sucked, but we weren't in any hurry and we really liked the look and feel here. We came back, got seated, opened the menu, and right at the top it said afternoon tea available with reservation only. We were devastated. I saw the look in my wife's eye and there was no way I was not getting her this afternoon tea! I approached the woman working and explained our situation and before I could even fight for the experience she told me not to worry, she would get us taken care of. BLESS HER! We had a wonderful visit and would recommend the experience to everyone in the area. Fast forward to this year. I knew how much my wife loved that visit and decided to reach out and ask if they had any ideas of what I could get her for her birthday this year. Joanne reached back out with an amazing gift and shipped it to us and it amazingly arrived on her birthday! She also included a nice birthday card for her! Amazing people that went out of their way twice to make us happy. They will forever be apart of our story and hopefully we have the chance to return soon! Thank you!!!
