An annoyance though was the dish was described as having scallops and there was only one scallop with the meal! The cod portion was very good though. My husband LOVED his food, praising the flavour and amount of meat on his plate. Also, he appreciated the full bottle of ketchup given. However, he was only given a butter and not a steak knife and the waitress explained those are never given to customers. Huh?! Still, we overall had a nice experience and would return if in Rye. Decent prices too compared to other places.

The potatoes were oven baked to golden and crispy with large chunks of cheese in a cast iron bowl. The asparagus was served in a cream sauce cooked delicately and perfectly done. The cucumber refresher is amazing as was the rainbow sour. This is a definite stop if traveling outside of London. Just a short train ride!

I was raised partly in Italy and this was some of the best Italian food I've had in 15 years of visiting the U.K. since I graduated Uni there. An Italian family own and operate the place and they're hospitality is second only to the food. Absolutely amazing meal, just tell them what you don't like and they'll bring the rest. I wish I could give them more stars. I will share some of the photos from the beautiful evening I spent on the patio. I just wish I had a lover with me to share the experience with.
