After 4 sessions I was no better than when I first started seeing the Chiro. I was referred to Dr. Julie Barter by a friend and so I made an appointment. She adjusted me in ways I've never been adjusted before. It was the most thorough adjustment I've ever had. She even adjusted my cranial sutures. Awesome! She uses muscle testing and your meridians to let her know what's going on where and what needs to be adjusted. It was an amazing experience and an extremely valuable one. I feel aligned and functional again! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! During my second appointment with her she really helped clarify some "untruths" I've been told about a supposed health issue that I thought I had but, it turns out it's not an issue at all. She gave me some very valuable nutrition information that I've been following ever since. I'm excited because I get to eat foods I thought I'd never eat again and I'm feeling great!

Keelin was able to modify anything I needed and get me a great workout! I felt safe because, as a Physical Therapist, her expertise is in form and moving your body correctly and safely. I've been to too many classes where people tell you to do things that don't utilize proper alignment/motion in their exercises. Moreover, everything is personalized for YOUR BODY. They will work with anyone at any level. My experience is that it is a very safe, inclusive space. I didn't feel uncomfortable or like I needed to be in shape before I went to the place to get in shape! The studio is beautiful and small. Classes will never be 20-30 people; I would guess 7-10 would be the max. I love it! There's a really sweet space to get water, make tea, etc. They have all the equipment needed, so you don't have to schlep it from home. Overall great vibe, nice people, no judgment, and safe and fun workouts. Highly recommended!

Robert Underwood, of Good Life Acupuncture and Wellness Center in Longmont, receives rave reviews,…read moreand therefore I was truly hopeful and confident that the acupuncture and herbal treatments provided by him would help to improve my health. Unfortunately, I lost confidence in Robert Underwood for the following reasons: - Robert Underwood treated me using Moxibustion, a type of traditional Chinese medicine that involves the burning of dried mugwort (moxa) on or near particular points of the body. The procedure he used caused 2nd/3rd degree burns to my abdomen. - Prior to treatment, I asked Robert Underwood if he had ever had any burn incidences with this procedure. He said "no", and failed to disclose the risks. - Robert Underwood placed the shallow container with the burning moxa on my abdomen and left me unattended in the room by myself with no call button. The container fell over and started burning my skin while I was laying, in and out of consciousness, on my back with needles in my body. I screamed for him three times before he came back to the room. By that time, I had managed to jump off the table. But the damage had already been done. - Robert Underwood did not provide proper first aid and infection control following the injury. Instead of immediately washing the site and applying a cool compress followed by a petroleum jelly product and sterile bandaging, which is the protocol for such burns per directions from my doctor, he instructed me to use my dirty finger to rub anesthetic gel into the unwashed burned area that was covered with bits of charcoal. He did not use a sterile bandage to cover the burn because he could not find any in the first aid kit. Instead, he used a non-sterile paper towel and office tape. - I walked into Robert Underwood's office with no burns anywhere on my body. I walked out with 2nd and 3rd degree burns to my abdomen and to the inside of my navel. While Robert Underwood did issue a refund, he has refused to acknowledge that he did anything wrong. Robert Underwood used a treatment that is potentially dangerous, he left the room, he did not leave a call button in case of emergency, he did not have a fully stocked first aid kit, he did not know the protocol for treatment, and he claims no responsibility. As a result of his actions, I am dealing with the physical and mental aftermath of a deep burn injury that has left me with life long scarring and discomfort. If you happen to be looking for an acupuncturist, there are plenty of five star acupuncturists in the Longmont area. I would recommend trying one of them.

I wish I could tell my past self to avoid this practice at all cost…read more I was in a severe car accident, was desperate to feel better and was hoping chiropractic care was going to be what helped me. Since I had many other therapies to help with my body, I was hoping these guys would accept my insurance (yay for meeting 3 deductibles in 2 years). When I called they informed me they DO NOT take insurance, which is fine. I still decided to try it out because I wanted to feel better, no matter the cost. Upon my first appointment Dr.Jess (and the following months) was so kind and interested I my accident. So much to the fact, she would ask if I had a lawyer... If my car insurance was giving me money in the time being (since it was the other persons fault)... If I saw a neurologist.. I continued to see her, as I did feel better initially. I told her I wasn't comfortable with manual neck manipulation (cracking my neck with her hands) and she would use the gun on me instead. A few times she forgot, which was terrifying. Fast forward to the "end" of my treatment. AKA me finding another chiropractor who was gentle and less of the "your body went this was going 50 MPH, so we need to put it back with the same force". My bill was TRIPLE THE AMOUNT.. Why you ask? Because I got the "insurance rate" "Oh, but I thought you didn't accept insurance?" "Well since you're insurance gave you money, and you have an automotive insurance claim pending, you get the insurance pricing" Please please please avoid at all costs if you were in a MVA. I should've seen the dollar signs in her eyes when she seemed to care more about what was going on in my world financially than in my body. My adjustments took less time than our conversations. On a side note.. Nora, her assistant, is the sweetest woman to walk the earth.
