The cherry on the sunday here is Tony, Jeff, Tim and all the other company executives are down to earth and make a difficult experience EASY. Lets face it this can be very stressful. Now you probably thinking I'm a friend or work for them or something but I DON'T. Please feel free to call or private message me and I'll be happy to give you further details. I feel that strongly about this review.

But the one thing we keep coming back to, aside from our health/family, is being so SO thankful for you guys. Your team of direct employees, your sub contractors, everyone.. every single person that we have met has left a wonderful impression on us. You guys build A LOT of homes, so maybe it gets lost on you (although with the patience we've experienced from each of you, I suspect not), but this process can be so stressful. Heck, when we came to you guys from our last builder, we had broken spirits and honestly weren't even sure if building was something we wanted to do, but you guys changed that. We've had friends that foolishly went with other builders tell us HORROR stories about their own experiences and every. single. time. we look at each other and shake our heads and think "omg that was almost us, but THANK GOD we went with Costa". Every step of the way you guys have been patient, up front, honest, kind.. the list goes on. This home is a massive investment for us, and as first time homebuilders this has been a little scary, but every step of the way Chris and Tony have made us feel more relaxed , calm, and confident. I could honestly go on forever but I really just wanted to drop a quick note to say Thank You. Thank You for all you've done so far, and all that you guys will do over the coming months, to make our home amazing and something we will be so very proud to call ours for years to come.

Having trash CONSTANTLY in our yard from their crew.Blocking your driveway on the daily with their vehicles. Starting crazy early in the morning and ALL weekend. So many safety construction violations happen on the daily that OSHA needs to address. Along with them coming up and tearing up our yard with a backhoe and there response was "oh your neighbor didn't tell you". I highly recommend not purchasing a house from this company or being under their horrible HOA. Speaking with neighbors it seems nobody is happy with their builds in the Brownstone community. This was suppose to be a happy great NEW construction house. Nothing but issues. BUYER BEWARE. Photos are are from my ring from when I was at work and they decided not to tell me they we ripping up my yard . Highly recommend using a professional inspector do a walk through of the house before purchasing also. 10-15 Updated still daily trash blown in my yard. Thank you J A. myers for having the dirtiest construction crew around. Great job at littering on the daily

Talk about shit supplies and a half-ass job. The other 17 homeowners in my community feel the same way as they have also experienced the same kind of issues. Thought buying a brand new house would be beneficial ha.... nothing but issue after issue. I am super concerned about the electrical wiring now. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I cannot recommend this company. Very poor…read morecustomer service. I wish I'd come here and read the reviews before we purchased! You can pretty much ignore any conversations you have with them because they don't stand by their word, only by the agreements you've signed. So be very very cautious relying upon any extra-contractual discussions. We were told the house would take 3-4 months to build and then a few weeks to install. It took nearly a year. We made quick decisions and all of the vendors we hired on our own were timely. There were so many unexplained delays in the process. It was like pulling teeth to get anyone to provide updates. Salesperson Jim made many promises (I'll get you a great deal on a porch guy! (porch guy built a faulty porch); You'll get so many discounts for paying cash! (we got zero discounts); you can change ANYTHING even up to the very last minute! (we couldn't); I'm available any time day or night! (barely responded to emails)). When my husband went to meet with them to talk about some of this stuff, the staff was very rude and disrespectful to my husband; gaslighted him and called him a liar. Jim explicitly said that our home would be off of the assembly line and ready to deliver in March (in writing) and we didn't move in until September. Six months late and only after we demanded a particular move-in date. They told us that once our home was installed it would be "a couple of weeks" until we could move it. Our home was placed on the property in May (after begging them to prioritize it for months), and again, we didn't move in until September. At one point, after the big work was done (roof, connecting two sides, etc), there was only ONE PERSON to do all of the work in finishing the house. It wasn't until we said "we're moving in on X date whether you are ready or not" that the finally got that poor construction worker help. The very worst part is when my husband (who is a very unconfrontational person) went to meet with them to talk about some of these issues, he asked to see the owner, understanding that the sales staff was limited in what they could do. The owner was there in the building and he refused to come out of his office to speak with my husband. He literally was sitting in his office down the hall and refused to come down and talk with a customer who was upset about the services his company had provided. He let his poor employees deal with it. Proceed with caution.

And if you do decide to go with one of their homes be real specific on your sales agreement, although they will fight you on it after you sign it and give them 90% down payment. I'm sure American Homes will respond to this review and make me look like the bad guy. I'm not telling you not to go with them, I'm just saying "Buyer Beware".
