He has really helped me to cope with my lupoid nephrosis and my mom has said that this guy saved her life. He is a very knowledgeable nephrologist and he is always readily available to his patients. Even when he is out of office, the phone number goes to an emergency medical service with a doctor on call. This is very helpful...especially with a spontaneous and unpredictable illness like lupus. I love Dr.Frank so much, that even when I was in school in Rochester, and now that I'm living in Harlem...I still make the trek out to Long Island to see him. The office is a little bit dated...But they've got good magazines and they play News 12...They're also pretty well located...right off of Sunrise Highway, so it's pretty easy to find. They also have their own parking lot. You know what else I love about this office? They usually always run on or really close to schedule...which is rare for ANYONE these days, let alone a doctor's office.

He went as far as calling me responsible for the covid deaths happening during the pandemic which is highly inappropriate and uncalled for. When I looked into his education background, I found that he was not educated in the US but India and his "medical degree" is not in nephrology. I also really doubt his real name is "Mathew". Proceed with care. I do not recommend this "doctor" at all.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Shifrin and his entire staff. I had a large nodule that…read morewas pushing up against my windpipe and making it difficult to swallow. After my needle biopsy showed a positive reading naturally I was very nervous. I got in to see Dr. Shifrin within a week of the biopsy results to come up with a game plan. I'm on blood thinners so it makes for a complicated case. He did another ultrasound on it to confirm the size and he thought its in my best interest to remove the whole thing instead of half bc if the surgical biopsy came back positive then I would have to go back in and remove the other side. With me being on blood thinners for life it would be dangerous to stop again so that's what we did. Leading up to the day of surgery I kept in contact with Amy C who coordinated all my visits and paperwork. She was awesome! She took all my nervous calls and calmed me down every time. Post surgery I was swelling up pretty good so I reached out to Amy who then connected my with Tara the PA. She got right back to me in between their scheduled surgeries and saw me to look at the swelling. She and Dr. Shifrin both met up with me and did another ultrasound to make sure there was no fluid build up in my neck. After they saw me they went back to their next scheduled surgery. Tara followed up with me for the next couple of days to see how I was doing. The pathology report came in within a week and it was positive for papillary cancer. Tara called me again to go over it and was very compassionate and calmed me down. I just had my 2 week follow up with both Dr. Shifrin and PA Tara Corrigan and they were pleased to tell me that all the cancer was removed and I'm free of it now. My family and I thank everyone there for walking with us through this tough scary journey. If you're shopping around for a thyroid surgeon and happened on this review please take my word and come see them. You wont regret it!

He also has an excellent supportive office staff. They check you in. They schedule the follow-up appointment. The staff is Rosalie, Denise, and Matt. They are extremely organized and also ahead of their game. I recommend them highly.
