Luis was very helpful in making a decision on which darts to purchase. Discounted them because I am in a league.

shopping at Monkey Sports in Farmingdale should be a straightforward and enjoyable experience, and…read moreto be fair, many of the employees here are helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the entire experience is ruined by the store manager, Ryan Maloney. He is, without a doubt, the worst part of this store--clueless, unprofessional, and completely unfit for his role. as a manager, you'd expect him to have at least a basic understanding of the products, yet he seems to know absolutely nothing. Ask him a question about any type of gear, and you'll either get a completely incorrect answer or some bizarre, unhelpful remark that makes you wonder if he even knows what's in his own store. While other employees go out of their way to assist customers, Ryan seems more interested in making everything more difficult. to make matters worse, his demeanor is just plain uncomfortable. Instead of being professional and customer-friendly, he makes weird, off-putting comments that leave you wondering if he's deliberately trying to confuse or irritate people. What really crossed the line was when he made unsettling remarks toward both me and my son. Rather than focusing on helping us find what we needed, he seemed more interested in making awkward, unnecessary comments that had nothing to do with our shopping experience. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. on top of all that, he doesn't even seem capable of managing basic store operations. At one point, he actually pulled one of his employees away from helping another customer just so they could assist him with something--completely disregarding the fact that the customer had been waiting for help. Instead of leading by example, he comes off as lazy, unorganized, and completely out of his depth. and his appearance--because if you're expecting a manager who looks even remotely presentable, you're out of luck. Ryan strolls around the store in cheap Walmart sweatpants like he just rolled out of bed. It's honestly a shame because the rest of the staff here are great--they know their stuff, they're friendly, and they actually care about customer service. But with Ryan Maloney in charge, the entire store suffers. If Monkey Sports wants to maintain its reputation, they should seriously reconsider who they have running the place. Until then, I'd highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I've never bought any products from them but it seems like young kids working there and if they don't feel like fulfilling the hands on service that the store offers, then they give a poor effort and tell you it's not going to get any better. Terrible service

I came here for one thing and one thing only, a NY Knicks Hat! Now I didn't buy it to wear.. as 99%…read moreof hats look bad on me (I'm not exaggerating... the mirror told me!). I bought it to put in my home office as I had an empty space next to Godzilla (that'll make sense if you look at the photo I've included). Now I know the Knicks have been pretttty bad in recent years... but I have faith... blind faith... completely irrational faith... that one day we'll turn it around! I miss Porzingis terribly, actually loved Marbury (he came into his final Knicks season in TIP TOP shape yet was immediately bench.. what?!), am a HUGE Nate Robinson fan, HUGE Patrich Chewing Fan, hated D'antoni, and have been to countless games. I'm not a fan of the organization but am a fan of the wonderful players that have come and gone throughout the decades. I even have the John Starks dunk poster (basically dunked in traffic on 3 Bulls after faking he was going to use the pick and drove HARD baseline) hanging in my living room. It's the first thing someone sees as soon as they enter. As you can tell, I can go off on a tangent from time to time but bottom line is.. I came in looking for a Knicks hat, found one at a decent price, purchased it and rushed home (again, driving the speed-limit) and placed it in it's new home. Thanks Champs!

Steps 1. Read the sign upfront…read more 2. Park Accordingly. 3. Its a store with firearms, lets not take things way too personal, they are nice people, relax. I believe this location is a person by person experience. My experience went well, I even got a review on my own personal firearm. I came in and without saying a word and fast speaking kind gentleman assisted me with my first purchase. Considering I was tired and hardly focused, he had patience with me and my father. He reviewed my safety rules with and explained the new policies that will be coming up soon. He helped me pick up all accessories and put me on to things I thought I didnt need. If youve never been at a city bodega (if not, grow up) , the way these guys move is very similar . They are masters and very fast-paced. Its a very New York styled runned business. So if you ask, you have to follow with whats being told to you. ( FOCUS. ) Id refer anyone to this location. Just have patience and advise them of your knowledge . If there is none there theyll explain what you need to know. Be advised, this isnt a take it personal location. You arent in toys r us . You are in a store with Firearms, so yes you can have a good time but understand this is a very serious place of business . There are plenty of employees there, its a free county and you are welcomed to ask any of the other gentlemen there a question.
