Once the shock was over, I insisted that the dentist refer me to the BEST periodontist in the Greater Vancouver area. I didn't care where I had to go, I just had to have the best. I was referred to Dr. Farzin Ghannad. And I can without hesitation and doubt say that Dr. Farzin Ghannad of Vancouver Implant Perio Centre is THE BEST. He did not rush through the consult. He answered all of my questions. He was very clear and offered up all options with pros and cons to each. He was sincere, honest and very personable. In fact, all his staff are courteous and lovely. I've read the horror stories about gum grafts and had friends regale me with their tales of pain etc. I had absolutely none of that (thus far... I'm still in recuperation). But the procedure was quick, Dr. Ghannad was delightful, offering up comforting words of feedback along the way and his genuine care for my well-being shone through. His after care instructions were perfect and the take home kit excellent! I had no pain, and no bleeding after the procedure was complete. So far so good and I've no doubt this trend will continue through my convalescence. If you need a periodontist, please see Dr. Ghannad. He is the best there is. Truly.

I have tried to have a proper appointment here twice. The first time, I saw a dentist that I had…read moreseen four months earlier at his suburban location. Rather than checking the same X-rays first, he did a new set of X-rays and this incurred an unnecessary charge. The receipt I then received had incomplete information so it was difficult to file a claim. Returned today for a new consult. I arrived 5 mis prior, waited 20 minutes at reception and then another 25 mins in a chair. If I had not said something about waiting for 45 minutes, I could still be waiting. No one alerted me that Dr. Birdy was running late and so I just sat there wasting my time. I get emergencies, but the decent thing is to acknowledge the delays. I do not have confidence in this practice. The people there may be talented but book on the assumption that your time will not be respected.

I have hesitated writing this for more than a year. The office staff are lovely and the hygienist…read morewonderful and goes the extra mile with suggestions for breathing techniques and self care. However...Dr. Birdi's work was far less than satisfactory for me. Years ago, he did a gum graft. The healing process was painful and I am left with what looks like a big lump of bubble gum. More recently, twice, he tried to do an implant. The implant did not work. In the process, he sewed my gum to my cheek, which resulted in excruciating pain. When the implant then failed, he removed it. He then did some bone grafting, but after several weeks, the wound would not heal. I sought a second opinion. The new perio removed bone pieces from the wound, and within days the wound then healed . The new perio has since done a gum graft that was far less painful, and the graft on that side looks like a natural gumline and not a blob of gum. The new perio also had to reconstruct my vestibule, which Dr. Birdi had annihilated when he sewed my cheek to my gum (something my dentist said he did not understand). Finally, the new perio recently did a new implant. There was virtually no pain and the healing went without incident. I am happy to read good reviews from other patients, but feel a duty to post the facts of my case, which were not at all successful and involved months of pain and additional courses of antibiotics and oral prednisone.

Dr. Noroozi was professional, skilled, and took the time to explain every step clearly. The care and attention I received made me feel comfortable throughout the treatment, and the results exceeded my expectations. The staff was also friendly and supportive at every visit. I highly recommend Dr. Noroozi to anyone looking for high-quality dental implant and grafting work.

Thank you for responding to my review Dr Noroozi... However,…read moreI would like clarify... 1) At no time did I ever tell you that I was dissatisfied with the former periodontist. I merely came to you for a second consultation because that is what I do with All doctors or procedures. There had never been any mentioned problems with my bottom teeth let alone my top teeth by any periodontist , so I became immediately alarmed and Hastily agreed to proceed with your suggested pinhole surgery. On that initial appt. when you suggested pinhole surgery on my bottom teeth, there was Never any mention of my top teeth being problematic as well. This was only mentioned many months later. Research that I been able to find, show that pinhole Surgery appears to be primarily performed solely by yourself, and I only wish that I had read the comments beforehand on the success rates before I agreed. One extracted tooth, turned into two implants and pinhole surgery on the bottom teeth with a suggestion of pinhole surgery on all of my top teeth. I truthfully feel that if I had continued coming to you, you would have continued to over exaggerate the problems with my teeth causing me even thousands More. I am a senior, get my teeth cleaned 4X per year and Dr. Ben has assured me that I have a beautiful smile and that my teeth will last me my lifetime.

While, yes, this will make the entire procedure more expensive (a lot more expensive) I feel very secure in the fact that I'm getting it done by people with a lot more experience. I'm in the final stages of having it done and am very happy with the results. Getting an implant is a time consuming experience and requires a number of rather invasive bits of work on your jaw. I could not believe how well they did in that I had less pain, less swelling from having a steel peg drilled into my jaw than I did getting regular fillings elsewhere. Everyone is very, very kind and very patient. I was able to ask all my stupid questions and they put me at ease with their answers. So again, it is going to cost more but you're going to be much happier with the result.

She's gentle, kind, patient and effective. She's perfect is all I have to say. The current receptionist however, is very rude and impatient. She's the one with her hair in a bun and never smiles. She cuts me off whenever I try to ask a question. And acts like she can't be bothered. She's also on her phone texting. In my most recent experience, I witnessed her yelling at an older patient cause she walked in without her face mask. I understand Covid-19 protocols are still in place in medical settings but the way she yelled at the patient seemed very unacceptable. All in all, the Dentist and his Hygienists are amazing. The one receptionist sours the experience. She's always in a bad mood, she's condescending and rude towards patients. The one time, she was in a good mood and was obnoxious was when she was laughing very loudly with a male patient about hangovers. Very unprofessional.
