Because of COVID our 2020 Woodinville Wine Passports are extended through March 2021. Many wineries are still on the passport and willing to accept the patronage. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and left with one of everything (and joined the club). We haven't had a wine club in a couple years and guessed we could pick one up for a while. This is a very unassuming tasting room in the warehouse district, with a very welcoming vibe. When the sun is shining, the owners set up seating and barrels outside for customers to enjoy their wine. The inside space is also very nicely set up and a lovely place to lounge out in cooler weather. The tasting room mostly has red varieties, with my favorite being the Screaming baby (as I'm a Malbec fan!), but I also enjoy their Pinot Gris. Their tasting fee is $10 for up to 7 tastings, which is exceptional. The staff explain each tasting when you get your refill. There is no rushing here, and from what I can see, every customer is treated with respect. They also have random events here, like their goat and wine event!! So fun to get to pet goats while wine tasting! This place is worth the visit when in the warehouse district! read more

Pretty darn good, "mellow" (IMO) reds here!! Only wish I wouldn't have disliked the first tasting on the "Bold" flight. Good hostess working when my fiancée and I went 12/2 and our bottle to take home was reasonably priced. read more

When I found out that Long Cellars had Bordeaux-style wines, I was hooked. But sadly, I didn't fall in love. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and were the only ones here until a couple came in shortly after. For the four of us, we were able to walk in and do a tasting without a reservation. For passport-holders, we were told that we could try three wines that were already set by the owner. You only get to choose from the two whites. I chose the semillion, and had the cab sauv and the malbec. I'm not a white wine fan, so didn't care much for the semillion, but wanted to try it since it was included in the passport. It was too sweet for my liking. The cab sauv was fine, much like other cab sauvs I've had. But the malbec was awesome! I liked the malbec, which was by far the best, as it had a nice peppery taste to it. They also have a reserve malbec, which the owner said used to be exclusive to wine club members only, but decided to open it up to the public. The menu features a lot of different reds, which were $5 each to try. If we hadn't had other tasting rooms to visit, I would've considered. And maybe I would've liked the wines much more at Long Cellars than I do. But I found it was slightly lackluster compared to other wineries around. The space is nice. It's located in the north industrial area, with plenty of parking nearby. The dim lighting and candles on tables made for a nice, intimate setting. Dogs are allowed here, which was awesome! The owner was nice and friendly. I may be back for different wines to try, but nothing had me wanting more. read more

I was greeted by a life size Frankenstein figure (and for a sec I thought it was an actual person that was gonna scare the bajeebies out of me when I got close) at the front door. These were one of the winery options to spend our drink tickets we received for completing the Wine and Run 5k by Run2Befit, which is a great event and was well organized! I loved the ambiance of the winery - it was dimly lit with green candles and interesting decor. Jason, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly. He seems to really enjoy his work! My favorite wines I tried there are the Screaming Baby and one of the white wines, which I can't remember the name anymore. Both were tasty and very smooth. You can get a flight of 3 wines to taste a little of everything. It's a fun place to hang out in and cool events are hosted here - just check the flyers or Facebook! I highly recommended checking this place out if you're in the area, it is unique from the other wineries I've visited. read more

Definitely recommend. I was with 3 other people and I believe each of us bought at least one bottle (I bought 2 - and I rarely do this in one visit). Update: just went again and the wines were great again; host was conversant and was generous enough to make other local recommendations. Would easily visit again and would consider their wine club (which says something since there are about 500 to choose from in the area). They lose one star because if you have a wine pass you only get to try 3 wines from the tasting list, and they charge you to try the rest. I don't like when places do that. Seems almost like a bait and switch. So 5 stars for the wines, 2 for bait and switch policy, which gives them 3.5. Their wines are consistently good, though, so I round up to 4. read more

I joined their wine club. Enough said. Just kidding! How could I be an Elite YELPER and not write a detailed review? I discovered this winery because one of their wine labels caught my eye. They were participating at the Issaquah wine walk and I saw a bottle of their Screaming Baby red blend posted to IG and just knew that I had to get my hands on a bottle of this. Having recently had a baby I completely understood this wine name, haha. It even had a baby bottle on the label! We went to their tasting room in Woodinville so I can purchase a bottle of this wine and try the others. The tasting included a Pinot Gris, Rose, the Screaming Baby red, Merlot and a couple of other reds. My favorites were the Screaming Baby and Merlot. Surprisingly I liked the Pinot Gris and Rose A LOT even though I usually don't like whites and I'm "over" my Rose phase. I'm currently going through a phase where I can't get enough Cabernet Sauvignons so I also bought a bottle of that assuming it's also going to be as good as the other wines I tried. Since I joined the wine club I got 20% off my four bottles of wine, and now I have their Fall release party to look forward to. Always fun going to the Wearhouse district and stopping by Long Cellars, Jason the wine maker is such a fun host, many times you are able just to pop in and have a tasting and no reservations needed. During Covid-19, they have adjusted and pivoted with what is required to be open, thank goodness because working from home and kids online home learning these wines has gotten me through 2020. My favorite wines are "Cab Frank" (has a cool frankinsteinesk logo), Merlot, 2018 Reserve Malbec, and 2019 Sémillon. And if you're not a member yet, what are you waiting for??? Long Cellars is tucked into the industrial-area tasting region of Woodinville. They're a solid option with a handful of whites and reds. They source their grapes but make the wine onsite - just ask for a peek next door. The tasting room is small but cozy, with pleasant staffing to help you work your way through the tasting flight. So why only 3 stars? There is a lot of great wine in Washington, and Long falls solidly central in the lineup. It's nothing over the top, but not too shabby either. A very small winery run in the warehouse district of Woodinville. Jason the winemaker and owner and his staff were very knowledgeable about the wine, how it is made, etc. We live in Florida so were very excited to find that they ship wines to our state. The quality is close to any French Bordeaux you can find in a store so I will definitely order a case of reds and whites when the weather gets cooler in Florida. One autumn eve my wife and I were doing a wine walk in Enumclaw. I was pretty much done until the last stop where I found Cab Frank. I was so impressed with this wine that I reached out to the winery. The owner himself answered the call and we had a wonderful conversation about all his wines. Some time later I decided to drive up to do a tasting and WOW! The wines are so amazing, I bought of case of different types of wine and joined the club. Later the winery sponsored a dinner where you came and bought some wine at a discount, then took a prepared meal home to cook. It was a unique experience and we loved it. They are constantly finding new ways to impress their members, I truly appreciate the quality of service and the fantastic wines. read more
