I was staying in Clinton earlier in the week and found this lovely establishment. The beertender told me the history of the location and made some good local food recs. Great service and a neat vibe. I had a flight that included their Dunkelweiss, a Brown Ale, an Amber ale, and a Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. All were amazing! Don't miss out on this awesome little brewery! I came here with 7 friends on the road trip portion of our annual beer trip. We've been to hundreds of breweries in several states over the years, and Long-Bell was a standout on this trip! This was our last stop of the night, and we almost missed it due to some terrible traffic, but when we arrived and they were about to close up, they stayed open late, just for us! The service was great, the ambiance was really chill. Even though they were already staying open late, they told us not to rush so we could enjoy the beer. We tried everything on tap (16 taps, including a guest cider). Everything was well made. Standouts were; Hub City (Brown Ale) - This was great with a shot of cold brew coffee (they call this option "Aftershock" and you can do it with any of their beers for $1) Optical Illusion (Golden Stout) - Also great with the coffee "Aftershock" shot! Plum Hazy (Hazy IPA) - Pleasant undertone of plum helped balance the hops nicely Basic Batch (Pumpkin Spice Ale) - Very tasty and perfect for fall (bonus points for the name)! Münster Mash (Dunkel) - This was nice and malty, very pleasant drinking. It might have been my favorite (neck and neck with the Hub City brown ale). Blackberry Radler (Guest Cider from OK Cider co.) - This isn't one of theirs, but it was also great. We had the place to ourselves, but they have a great space for large groups, with a little lounge in a private room that has comfy seating and a flat screen TV, as well as extensive seating downstairs for large groups or very busy nights (I'll include some pics). Extraordinary brew house experience. Perfect vibe with outdoor seating. Knowledgeable staff with smiles all round. Fresh and crisp beers. Had a flight plus a pint. Love the Bale Buster and the Citra Smash. Isabella was amazing and made us feel at home immediately. Highly recommend this gem if you're passing through on Historic Route 66. Every time we are on this side of the state we have to stop by Long-Bell! Every brew I've tried here is top tier, they really know what they are doing! The service is always wonderful and the atmosphere makes you feel at home. We picked up a keg of tres banditos and a growler (we've got a collection of long bell growlers now lol) of oktoberfest on our way out! Oh my.... DO NOT DRIVE BY WITHOUT STOPPING!!!! This place is fantastic. We literally fell upon it and were so happy. The beer selection is fantastic and it shares with the restaurant (StrayHouse) next door so you order your beer and they will bring it to you if you want to sit in the restaurant. We sat in the brewery and had our food brought here. Everything was clean, efficient and the staff made the whole experience perfect. read more
