Bill, the harbor master is a joke. On December 22, 2020 my husband and I pulled into the empty parking lot to say hello to a friend who was riding by on her bike. Suddenly, an unidentified man in a red pickup truck pulled up beside my husband, and told him to move our vehicle. There was plenty of room for him to pass. My husband moved the car to allow him even more access. He then pulled over in front of us, got out of his truck and informed us he was calling the police! My friend on her bike left as she didn't want to be involved in the altercation. Only after he started calling the police did he identify himself as the harbor master. This is absolutely ridiculous on so many levels. The parking lot was empty and we had only been there two minutes before he showed up. We left then as we did not want the police to have to respond to this ridiculous scenario. Our car was not blocking traffic and there was no signage posted re: parking. Bill handled the situation badly. He should have identified himself as the harbor master immediately. His language was threatening and obviously needs some customer service skills training and possibly anger management classes as well. My husband is seventy years old and non confrontational. To be harassed like this is completely unacceptable. I suggest anyone visiting this marina to leave your car at home and avoid this man. read more
