The parking is always open and usually isn't crowded with people. The also have a store on site where you can buy poles, baits, line and hooks. The also sell fishing license as well. Overall nice little spot where you can get out of the house and go fishing and just relax and enjoy life and take the kids out to play.

And safety is always their top priority. BUT...the staff member that takes pictures before embarking the ferry...-1 star. She was VERY rude to me and my friend. We went around the line that was taking pictures because we didn't want a picture. Her statement to us was "THAT was very rude." I don't think she thought I heard her. Other than that, our experience was 10/10! We love Ship Island and the ferry! We will always book an excursion. This one incident will not keep us from that. I did end up having a small asthma attack and I forgot my inhaler, but the lifeguards took good care of me and made sure I was ok and feeling better. He offers live shrimp, dead shrimp, croakers etc. Roscoe also carries a selection of some other important fishing gear along with a few snacks and drinks.
