To me, Biloxi Beach has a different feel than the other Gulf beaches I have visited. Maybe it was just the time of year, but it felt much more quiet and calm. It's also not as fancy and isn't a top notch luxurious spot by any means, but still gives you enough to enjoy a few days at the beach. With a small number of hotels, shops and restaurants, you can visit the beach with less crowds. I was curious when I saw giant pipes on the shore, to find out later that it drains the storm water into the Mississippi sound. I'm glad Biloxi was where I spent my first time in Mississippi. I'd be happy to come back for another day trip someday.

Oh, the sunsets I saw here. Sunrises, not so much because I don't usually wake up that early. But wow, the sunsets from the free fishing piers were amazing. The beach is smooth and flat. The sand is firm and easy to walk on. The litter - at least this time of year - was noticeable but not bad. Some volleyball courts here and there where the beach includes a city park. Absolutely a beautiful part of the United States and well worth the trip. [Review 14188 overall, 1510 of 2020, number 78 in Mississippi.]

The beach is great! I just wish they had workers constantly on duty to pick up the trash! Do not misread what I'm saying: I'm not trying to imply the beach is full of trash. It is not. But there is trash scattered around and I simply think the beach is too beautiful for this to be the case. This also goes to visitors as well: STOP TRASHING THE BEACH! Especially during a pandemic! There are trash cans...use them! I would suggest the beach council add more trash cans at the beach. Again, not trying to scare anyone off, the beach is gorgeous. I just get annoyed at something so beautiful being littered. This beach is definitely worth the hour and a half drive from New Orleans though. Great sunset view, beautiful beach, and plenty of dining options, casinos, and hotels around to make a nice getaway.

Who doesn't love the beach????? I love the beach & this one is no different. Plenty of sand & water to bring on the feeling of RELAXATION. Now, that being said, I don't do the water here because it's not the cleanest & my rule is 'me no see the bottom, me no swimmey' lol. That being said, just the ambiance of the beach alone is very serene & freeing. Love the 'beach toys' available for rent ie jet skis, banana boats, water bikes & the like ( hey that rhymed). Oh and table rentals as well; just in case you come to the beach with out a canopy or tent. I used to come here a great deal as a kid & swim... this was a popular place in the 70s & 80s (ok do the math on the age if you want) but not swimming isn't as popular with me or most folks. Several years back there were some 'health warnings' issued & then Hurricane Katrina happened, I think people never really bounced back from this. But I still occasionally come and visit, along with hitting up the local Casino Buffets. My hope is that this place returns to the 'happening spot' of its former years; here's to hoping!!!!

I love the white sands, phenomenal, the salt of the water, the view is romantic itself , have a some seafood restaurants on the side. Highly recommend whoever love nature, view, scenic, oceans, romantic to check it .

Biloxi beach is by far not he nicest beach ever. It's not the worst beach ever either. The water is not clear at all but comfortable on a hot day. It doesn't get deep for swimming very quick but it's great for lounging. The sand is usually pretty dirty. On my recent visit I went to the beach 3 days. Each day we went to a different spot and there was glass at each spot. There is plenty to do along the beach though. You can rent jet skis, water bikes, and more. Also, there are a ton of great places to each and souvenir shops. Parking is easy and keep your eyes open, there are a couple of spots that have bathrooms and rinse off spots. What attracts me most is the abundance of things to do in the area. So you can chill at the beach during the day and then enjoy the night life. Great location!

Everyone from Louisiana has probably come to this beach at some point in time because well it's the closest beach they got to Louisiana (unless you live in Lake Charles. Then you would probably drive to Galveston). This beach isn't the prettiest or cleanest beach by any means. This beach isn't terrible either. Parking is always easy along any part of the beach. You can rent jet skis, aqua cycles, chairs, and umbrellas. The Mississippi gulf coast has over 30 miles of beaches and Biloxi Beach is probably the most visited stretch because there are just more people that live and visit Biloxi than the other cities along the coast. The sand is clean in some spots. Other areas you will find lots of trash on the beach. But I'm not a picky person at all. If you want to hang out at this beach and stare at the dirty water I'm down with that. A beach is a beach after all. You come to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. This beach can fulfill those two requirements!

If you are looking for white sand beaches with clear blue water...this isn't it. You may get white sands in some areas of Biloxi beach, you also get darker sand as well. Careful walking without shoes because there are lots of broken shells, sticks, glass, and bottle caps laying about. The water is brown and I would suggest trying to swim in it. You can rent jet skis to take out on the water and there is a fishing pier. They also rent out beach chairs with umbrellas. There aren't a lot of food choices on the beach anymore since the hurricane, but they do have a few places. It's not a bad beach for a day trip just to relax.

Miles of white sand but not overcrowded by tourists-very peaceful I would return. There is a cool wind chime installation that is a little pedestrian bridge right by the "Welcome" sign. The sea breeze flows through it to make music. There is also a cool light house not far from there.

Beautiful sunsets and awesome restaurants on the beach. Unfortunately, the water is dirty so I don't know if id go in. You can rent water vehicles to play on and lay in the beach chairs that are all over; wish they had more fire pits for bonfires!

Swimming not recommended at Biloxi Beach :(

Biloxi Beach covers majority of highway 90 and extends into Gulfport, MS. Take a look at my picture, and tell me how many swimmers are are in the water? This beach is great if you enjoy walking in sand, sun bathing, kite flying and catching the wind from the gulf, however, swimming, I cannot recommend! Unfortunately, the mud sediment from the Mississippi River flows into this part of the gulf, so the water is dark brown colored :( The sand was clean/soft and appears to be combed by a machine. If you could care less about the swimming part, grab your umbrella/chair and sit all day. Also, there are many seafood restaurants right on the beach front, so that is kind of a solace to swim lovers. There are shrimp boat tours available and I did see jet ski rentals, but that is it regarding water fun. Biloxi is a casino/fishing town, so most tourist swim in the hotel pools. For me, I prefer water I can swim in and enjoy; especially as hot as it gets in the summer time here!

Man..... call me clueless but I wanted waves and the sound of the ocean..... I didn't know this was not going to have those things. That to me is a huge thing when it comes to a beach vacation. I feel cheated. I feel like I am at a local lake by my house with palm trees.

We came to the public beach on a quick trip to Biloxi. I'd never been to a Mississippi beach before! I later learned that the white sands haven't always been a feature, so they must have been brought in more recently, probably after Katrina's destruction. The water was unbelievably warm in early May, and shallow. We rented jet skis from Get Wet and had an absolute blast, then wandered down the beach as the sun was setting. It was easy to access and if you want to make a day of it, chair and umbrella rentals are available if you wish. The water was not very clear and there was some yucky stuff washed up so I gave it 4 stars. Having always gone to Destin, Santa Rosa, etc I guess I am spoiled to the crystal clear water there! But I think especially at this time of year Biloxi Beach is a great place to visit! Don't miss going to The Shed BBQ joint in nearby Ocean Springs while you're here- especially since going straight there in your board shorts is perfectly acceptable!

According to a resident, locals often frequent Ship Island to sail around on their personal boats, though the Ship Island Excursion boat takes tourists for a 30 minute cruise, at several convenient times throughout the day. The Fort on Ship Island survived Hurricane Katrina, though there was some damage to the amenities on the Island (such as the snack bars and bathrooms). Ship Island is a great destination for fishing and relaxing, and the emerald clear waters are teeming with sealife, and I even saw blue crabs, starfish, pelicans, and...dolphins!
