I quickly found that almost all of the dealers in the Houston area had terrible reviews on Yelp and elsewhere. Pentex Equipment was the only exception. In fact, it was the only one that, based on the reviews, wouldn't be terrifying to enter unless you really knew what you're doing (I didn't at the time...). Of course reviews, valuable as they are, are not infallible, so I was still cautious walking into Pentex for the first time to get advice as to what equipment would be most appropriate for my needs. I was helped by a guy named Chad, who was remarkably knowledgeable while simultaneously coming across as very humble and trustworthy. After getting a thorough education from Chad, and absolutely no sales pressure, I eventually decided to go with ALL of his suggestions, which amounted to no small amount of money. To my surprise, Chad offered to deliver all of this gear to my house and show me how to use it for no extra charge. True to his word, he gave me a thorough education at my property and almost every piece of advice proved to be extremely valuable. Chad was so knowledgeable and so helpful that eventually I got suspicious that he was no mere sales guy. So I asked him, "Are you by any chance a part-owner of the business?" Sure enough, Chad replied that he and his wife are the sole owners of the business. Chad does much of the sales work while his wife handles much of the accounting. Since then, I've been back to Pentex many times for routine maintenance and for additional equipment purchases. Chad and his team at Pentex have always been 100% helpful and their advice has always been spot-on. They do what they say, on the timetable they promise, and the charges are always reasonable. It has been a pleasure doing business with Pentex and I look forward to being a customer for at least as long as Chad continues to own the business (he's a pretty young guy so that should be for a long time to come). I suggest that you might want to do the same.

I asked for a generator quote for a Kohler generator, very simple. They responded back and said immediately and unprompted "we are not the cheapest." I said ok just give me a quote (since I'm getting several.) They responded back and said they hoped to have a quote in 1-2 days. No problem. Well fast forward over a week (and I had to re ask them for the quote while waiting.) I get an outrageously expensive quote (significantly higher than any other quotes I've received) and it's for a Generac, not a Kohler. On top of that I had liked the page and witnessed them CONSTANTLY blasting and getting into drama with anyone who leaves them an unfavorable review or does anything they deem unfavorable. I've always been put off by companies who engage in constant drama in the public eye. Says alot. If you're confident in your work you'll let that do the talking. Anyways, I told them about the error and was met with excuses about how busy they are. EVERYONE who deals with generators in Houston currently is I mentioned I was unhappy with the delays, the mistakes and the constant drama I was witnessing and they immediately removed me from their list. Ok great. There are literally hundreds of generator companies with amazing reviews selling the same products with great track records who don't argue back and forth on Facebook with their customers. The immature drama and back and forth they engage in just makes me lose all faith in them as a company. None of that is remotely necessary. Not to mention they are over charging in a time of high stress and peril for most who dealt with the extended power outages in the Houston area. I've also seen on other reviews they threaten to sue you for leaving negative reviews. Who does that!!?? I don't wish ill will against them just sharing my experience to hopefully save someone else my headache.

Technician came out as promised punctual, performed diagnostics on the entire wrought iron gate mechanisms and electronic components and Technician was able to determine the issues very professionally. I instantly was able to tell this Gentleman has had plenty of experience dealing with wrought iron gates which was comforting. Technician explained the issues in great detail and why they were happening. Provided us a reasonable price to help us with our wrought iron gate dilemmas. So, when a tree fell during the hurricane and ruined my existing grill, I was at quite a loss. I do have a gas range inside, but without power, my gas oven will not work. Plus, I like to use my grill for an oven, too. The week after Beryl moved through here, I went to Cunningham to get a replacement grill. Because they keep such great records, they knew exactly which grill I had installed just 2 years ago, and I'm so thankful they had a new one in stock. And, believe it or not, they came out and installed it that afternoon! Now I could really cook! And cook I do on that grill, which is a big made-in-the-USA model.
