Very disappointing. First visit in two years. Not busy Thursday evening. Had to flag other server for cutlery and plates after appetizers came. We both ordered chimichangas which came out super fast. Husband cut his in half and it was stone cold. Asked to send it back along with mine, as it too was likely cold. Server seemed confused. Manager came to apologize (we hadn't asked to see him) and said he went over "specs" with the kitchen and promised food would be hot and may take a while. Good came out again shortly after and I cut mine in middle. Filling of chimichanga was cold to the touch. Manager offered to reheat. Seriously. Why a third time? We left. I visited my friend in Belleville and she wanted to go another roadhouse in the same plaza but the line up was fierce. She had her heart set on the rib platter so she decided to "try" Lone Star. I had gone to the Whitby Lone Star and the Oshawa Lone Star so I expected a really good experience; it was absolutely disgusting. My friend kept apologizing that night and even mentioned it several times during my visit. Memorable for all the wrong reasons. We both ordered the rib platters and according to my friend, Lone Star's price is double. We waited over 40 minutes for our food. When the server brought our meals, the first thing I noticed was they gave me the wrong side dish. While we waited for them to bring me the correct their mistake we looked over our dinners. The small dishes of baked beans were disgusting. They were dried out and crusty. It looks like they had been scooped in there in the morning and been sitting out all day. The curly fries were cold, the ribs weren't cooked through and the edges were cold. The coleslaw was warm. The Caesar salad that they finally brought me had no dressing on it. I only ate one rib and the chicken wings from my platter. I was starving .My friend's chicken breast was dried out. We finally just decided to take our "leftovers" and leave. The most shocking part of the whole experience was when my friend told our waitress that we were "very disappointed" with our meal and she responded; "You're serious? " we told her about all the things that were wrong with the meal and told her we understood that she wasn't the cook. Wow not even from Canada and I am the first person to review this HOT SPOT of Belleville night life! Yuppers this review is just for my one night there with friends on a Saturday night. So either YELP does not exist in Belleville or judging from the people who frequent this place they probably do not get the time between the fighting and the constant 'duuude' talk. Everything about this place screams 'small town' from the no dress code, to the seriously drunk people trying to hold their vomit in and finally to the end of the night chick fight. Evening dinner. We chose to sit bar side. Server was very professional. Drinks never ran out. She was very personable! I had the Texas sized ribs with coleslaw and baked potatoe. The ribs were excellent. They were moist and succulent with a generous amount of sauce. Very flavorful and not an over powering sauce. The coleslaw appeared to be very generic. Two forks full was more than enough. ....I liken it to formaldehyde. ....maybe I just prefer a creamy slaw rather than a vinegar base... The baked potatoes was perfectly done and was very large.... but could have Had three times the amount of sour cream. The potatoes was barely opened so a table spoon of sour cream was all there was. A side of butter was no where in sight. A pad of butter is a must with a large baked potatoe. The endless chips and salsa are a nice touch. I've been to Lone Star at least 10 times since it opened in Belleville and must say that unless you order the fajita's don't even bother going; also be prepared to wait much longer than what you would expect. I've ordered the steak a few times hoping for improvement but always end up disapointed. In one instance the manager appologized for the wait, and when he came over to ask how everything was I showed him my "medium rare" ordered steak, except it was so cooked it was well done. He apologized again and offered to get another one cooked. I however didn't want to wait another hour+ for a new once so politely declined. read more

Always been a fan of this chain, but $26 for a pitcher of draft beer is robbery! The Belleville location is better than Pickering, more grilled veggies for your fajitas and larger bar area but tonight our fajitas and fish tacos were only lukewarm and no one asked if we wanted chips and salsa to start. Newly opened feb 2012. Staff not in the grove yet. All staff made to wear cowboy hats and boots is over the top. Atmosphere is a little kitschy. It's busy because it is new. The best part of the fajitas combo are the shrimp. The chicken is ok. The steak is tough and the ribs are stringy and tasteless. Tex-mex food is about cookin all day over an open fire. Don't expect that here. And giving all kids a ball of dough to play with that otherwise would have been made into a tortilla shell is, well, unnecessary. Give it time and more flavor, have the staff kick back a little, servers become more sincere, and this might work out. This place as it is does not fool a Texan. read more

We absolutely love Lonestar. This is our go to place with friends if we want to have a causal meal and some drinks. I like sitting outside when the weather permits. The chicken tacos are my favourite. They have so many toppings and are juicy and saucy. Not skimpy at all! Service is always pretty good I have no complaints there. The prices are good as well. Wish you didn't have to pay for chips and salsa now, come on Lonestar you are a huge chain and that should still be free. Can't wait to come back! I like this place! This is my second time here and the food is good. The service on the other hand is so so. This time my family members and I decided to get a couple of things to share. We got nachos, fish tacos and a kid's meal (ribs) for my niece. The nachos are like any other nachos that you can get at any restaurants but the fish tacos were delicious! Cricket was our server, and she was great. There was, however another server (male) who kept bothering us, constantly at our table, even did a few things that Cricket should have (and was about to before he cut in). Food & drinks were awesome, except for the coleslaw... The food came out as quickly as possible, very impressive. Prices were in the expected range for this type of establishment. Typically go here about once every 6 weeks, but it has been going downhill and last night was the worst visit ever. The server just kept forgetting things. Forgot two out of three drinks. Did not bring the side tray for the fajitas. Never brought a salad. Side of ranch dressing had to be asked for. Brought appetizers without cutlery. Then when I asked for manager on the way out he never responded, and yet I could see him chatting away in the background to (presumably) some friends. Just left and decided to vent here instead. After what was a very trying day for the staff at Lone Star as thousands of hungry track and field athletes and families and coaches decended on their restaurant we received exceptional service from this tattooed beauty. Food is normal over-salted chain food but at least you know what you're getting. Tables were grimy around the edges and the supervisor was reprimanding his staff in front of customers, one teenage girl server looked like she was going to cry. That's poor leadership. read more

Our server was Bell(e). Food was excellent but service from the designated server was terrible. Definitely more attention was paid to the other two tables that she had. She would offer them extra chips and salsa, brought us one and never offered again. She took our main course orders and all came out wrong, she seemed to be more interested in the tips from the table of males than serving and talking to our table. It seemed like she was avoiding the table altogether, but could stay and chat with other tables for 10 or 15 minutes and kept their drinks and food coming.
