7 days out and my dip nails have lifted and one broke off. Do not go here.

The staff was super nice, but the quality was underwhelming. I felt the guy was rushed and he nicked my cuticles with the file multiple times. Was told I would pay $40 for dip nails and was charged $45. Definitely would not consider coming back in the future :/ the staff is super friendly just need more attention to detail Update: 7 days out and my nails are lifted and one has broken. As nice as the staff is the quality is not there.Do not waste your money

For $30 it would be nice to have my gel manicure last for 5 days at least. They most definitely use cheap products they started peeling after a day. This pic is 5 days in. Also when you go to a nail spa you want a relaxing atmosphere it just seemed they didn't really take pride in their establishment. Wouldn't recommend this place. Definitely won't be back.

Love them Thankyou for having good customer service and a great relaxed service!

You can see the scoring and bruising on my nails after everything was removed.

I don't tend to leave reviews but I had such a bad experience here that I wanted to go ahead and make sure information was available for those that might consider getting nexgen nails done here. I'd like to start by saying that the pedicure I got here was excellent. I had a great experience with that. Everyone was also very nice and polite in the salon which was clean and well kept. I had issues once we did the nexgen nails manicure. First, the nail technician ground too deep into my real nails before applying the powder. To compound that, once the powders were all applied the tools came back out to neaten them up and thin them out. It was at this point that the technician caused my cuticles to bleed in three different places. She also caused red crescents to appear on my nails as she shaped around the back of the nail. The tool ground deep enough to bruise my nail beds. The manicure held up well for the two weeks it was on my nails and they looked great but then I had to get them removed. I thought about going somewhere else and I should have but it's right around the corner and how bad can the removal be? Bad. It took an hour and a half start to finish for them to remove the nexgen nails and do a regular solid color manicure on top. The acetone pads were removed way too soon since the nail tech (different person this time) was in a hurry, leading to more grinding and filing down of my already thinned nails instead of waiting for the acetone and foil to do the job properly. She then left my nails incredibly rough, painted over it and called it a day. At the very least she only caused my cuticles to bleed in one place. In the span of a couple of days, three of my nails broke (uncommon, I have kept naturally long nails my whole life) and I had to remove the polish and cut my nails down as short as I could. My nails are scored and super damaged, I will have to grow out an entirely new set of nails. I was happy with the atmosphere and the other services I received but this level of damage is not the norm for nexgen nails and neither is the amount of cuticle bleeding that occurred for any nail service. I have included an image of the original manicure and the result after the removal of everything.

Jenny is the best! I have moved about 30 minutes away and I still make the drive to get my nails done at lone star nails.

I got NexGen on my nails and am very happy with how they turned out. I have been looking for a place in the area that doesn't leave my nails looking thick and lumpy and this place did a great job! They were also very nice. I avoided this place for the last 2 years bc of the location (not in the nicest shopping center) but they are better than any of the nicer places nearby!

Nail file dug into finger and bled a little bit. Red and irritated because I've been cleaning the cuts.

I used to come to this salon about 2 yrs ago and would recommend it to many of my friends but unfortunately after today's visit I don't think I'll ever be back. Out of all the times I've ever gotten my nails done, this was the most painful experience and having to treat my cuts makes me want to scream. I had asked for the coffin shape and as it was getting done the nail file was being dug into my skin and causing mild bleeding. Also, while drilling the nail down, the side of my nail was scraped as well. I don't know if the nail tech that serviced me was new or not but that was and continues to be extremely painful. I hope it doesn't happen to whoever she has next.. 3 starts only because everything else was fine.

This is the dip after almost a week

I came in for an acrylic fill and pedicure and showed a reference photo of the cat eye nails I wanted. The owner immediately told me they couldn't do cat eye, so I agreed to switch to chrome instead. When the chrome was applied, it wasn't visible at all. I mentioned that I didn't want to pay extra for chrome since there was no noticeable effect. At that point, my nail technician told me they actually could do cat eye and brought over another technician to do it. Unfortunately, the finished nails looked nothing like the inspiration photo, but I accepted that and was ready to move on. The problem came at checkout. I was charged an additional fee for both gel and cat eye. I politely asked the owner to remove the cat eye charge because of the confusion and because the final result wasn't what I requested. Rather than taking any accountability for the miscommunication, he argued with me, talked over me, and insisted I pay the full amount. I've overlooked imperfect nails in the past because everyone makes mistakes. What I can't overlook is poor customer service and refusing to take responsibility for a situation the owner created. After years of being a loyal customer, I expected much better. Unfortunately, because of how I was treated--not because of the nails--I won't be returning.

It didnt take long at all. I got a basic french tip and square shape just to see how they do the basics. Price was a little high but not too bad. I enjoyed the set and it lasted about a month. I live in Carrollton but I go to Kalos and Muse for my nail services in Richardson…read more My son needed a pedicure so I decided to come here and on their menu there were kids mani/pedi $25 and there was not an option to choose pedicure only so I marked that on my slip. The front desk confirmed and repeated aloud kid mani/pedi. So imagine my surprise when I went to pay and was billed for a classic mani and pedi $48. So i asked what age do they consider kids, she stated up to 10. She then guided me to the bottom right corner of the menu that stated this. Completely fine, however as someone who heads an employee and customer experience department, the customer support and fraudulent switching of the service without my acknowledgment is why I am giving them a 1 star. I'm fine to pay whatever the service costs but it is bad business to have a customer fill out a slip selecting the service they want, confirm with them, and then switch the service at checkout. How much effort could it have been to advise me that my 12yo couldn't receive the kid mani/pedi? I would have selected a classic pedi for him only. It's truly the small efforts of basic customer support and honest business that will take businesses a long way. I hope they read this, coach their employees and do better.
