Out of all of them, the ICU nurses at Memorial were the most caring, compassionate nurses we experienced. Although she was at the end of her journey and no longer responsive, they made sure to keep her clean and advocated for her until the very end. When she was finally pronounced, the nurses all came in and I saw a few of them crying...for a patient they had only been taking care of for 3 days. I truly wish my sister had been to this hospital when she was first diagnosed, but God knows. I'm truly grateful this was the final stop of her journey. Blessings to the ICU staff that gave her such great care.

I have lost confidence in Memorial Hermann and Dr. Idowu in Hematology. My son has been under her…read morecare for over five years and has expressed for years that he feels unheard and unseen. During this hospitalization, I raised serious concerns about his pain management, vascular access, and treatment decisions. I verbally complained to nurses and doctors and clearly requested that Dr. Idowu be removed from his care. Despite this, she continued to enter his room and remain involved in his care. My son also went without food or drink from midnight until approximately 4 p.m. waiting for a planned procedure that ultimately was not performed, further delaying his RBC treatment. I came to Memorial Hermann because I trusted this hospital with my son's complicated medical history. Unfortunately, after this experience and the way my concerns have been handled, I have lost that trust. A patient and family should never feel unheard or afraid about the care they are receiving after repeatedly asking for help.

This is very much needed for continuity of care because patients want trust that those caring from them know what they are doing and from their point of view believe that their care is seamless. Jay does just that. BIANCA: She gets the job done. She navigates patients well especially when it come to guiding them where they need to go and informing them on next steps. She always provides clarification to the patients she is assisting EMILY: Full of Energy. She provides the carisma for the environment. Patients need a sense calm and she provides the light-hearted energy that provides a gayeway for that calm to be present. MAGGIE: Fortitude. She comes in, gets to work. She keeps busy which allows her to assist in many areas within her capacity. Very good coversationalist and can talk about literally anything. The level of dissatisfaction with every aspect of this physician's practice is off the charts. Caveat Emptor! I plan to file a formal complaint with UnitedHealthcare. The online video promising same week treatment is fraudulent, based on my experience. No call backs, appointment times not kept, emails not answered, promises to schedule MRIs not upheld, extremely long phone wait times, and in most cases, the phone is not answered. Balls dropped at every turn, all the while I, as a referred patient, am in need of treatment. My experience is not unique. Just look at other reviews. Wish I had seen them before seeking treatment and wasting valuable time working toward resolution of a back injury. Any other business run this way would lose all customers. Find another provider. I will be working to ensure that this physician is removed as a preferred provider within my health plan.

The responses were curt and unhelpful, and the only solution offered was to "discuss it with your insurance" or enroll in a payment plan. There was no willingness to explore any other options or show empathy for the situation. What I find particularly frustrating is that healthcare providers often negotiate rates and adjustments with insurance companies, yet when patients are left with substantial out-of-pocket costs, there seems to be little willingness to work directly with them. A payment plan is not the same as addressing an unexpectedly high charge. If you have a choice of facilities, I recommend comparing their facility fees before scheduling a routine preventive procedure. Paying over $400 (after insurance!) in facility charges for a simple preventive screening was an unpleasant surprise, and the lack of meaningful customer service made the experience even more disappointing.T

Delivered on hands and knees, labored some on the toilet, no episiotomy, no shots (even ASKED if she wanted any), no holding her breath and pushing with all her might on her back, delayed cord cutting until it stopped pulsating and was white. They encouraged keeping baby with them. Left them alone for an hour after she was cleaned up. One complaint is that they didn't put baby on the breast immediately (within 1/2 hr, while baby has that brief awake window) and she didn't think of it. The next couple of days our tiny baby refused to nurse because he was too sleepy and they insisted she give formula once (or he'll end up in the NICU), then pumped breast milk (which she DISCOVERED HERSELF was an option sitting in the corner of the room). I also think the nurse who helped her first didn't know what she was doing and made it worse. Lactation consultants were somewhat helpful/encouraging and available round the clock. Overall, a good experience and they treated her well.

I was diagnosed with lung cancer and had a robotic assisted surgery which took half of my left lung and I was alert conscious and feeling good just a few hours after the 5-hour procedure. because Dr. Kim used robots so the incisions were small, and my recovery was quick. I was sent home the next day. One day stay for major surgery! The timeliness of care was excellent. it was 2 weeks from referral to meet with the surgeon and two additional weeks to schedule the procedure, so I was essentially cured of my cancer within one month. this compares very favorably to the other cancer hospital next foor, which has a waiting list. to summarize, I had a great surgeon, a state-of-the-art operating room, competent nurses and everyone had a good attitude. really couldn't be better.

The procedure was not fun, but I had great meds to keep me pain free and calm. I was very unsure what to expect. The nurses were exceptionally nice, and took the time to talk to me, reassure me that everything would be fine. They followed up the next day to make sure I was fine. It cost a pretty penny for the EGD, and getting specialized tests aren't like the joys in life. That is all.
