The waitstaff is amazing- the ambience is full of life, the food and wine variety is inclusive, gourmet and very elegantly put together. The bread is warm- DELISH! I got the vegetarian cauliflower entree and boy it was outstanding with the caramelized mushrooms and onions and the beautiful but potent balsamic glaze. The coffee based turkish dessert was a tad heavy and tad too sweet (I know dessert is supposed to be sweet So technically this is on me) but relative to the sugar levels in other restaurants, this one surprised me. Nonetheless- delicious!

I had seen Velvet Burger prior to starting the tour and kept that in my back pocket as the menu looked pretty good. So I ran in once my tour returned... and they ended up letting me order a takeaway chicken burger :D Despite closing up, they made it pretty fast and I ran back to my hotel to eat it. It was so good... I was really thankful they let me order so late, AND that the food was as good as it was. I had the chicken burger w/ bacon... super delicious. I may have eaten it super fast as it was late and I was quite hungry :O But I know I loved it. I would go back again (earlier in the day) if I returned to Dunedin :D
