Great wood. Clean and hardwood that burns for a long time. Hardworking people and are very reasonably priced. Deliver too.

It is hard to review a business when they don't bother to return your call. I waited a week and gave up.

Lone Cedar was both accommodating and reliable on the wood sizing, and the quality of the wood is awesome.

Short version: Super Best's mini-me. with a strong Latino accent…read more This supermercado occupies a space that was once a small Safeway, before the large store in Hillandale was built. Lots of fresh vegetables and tropical fruits and roots at better prices than gringo stores. A whole wall of spices and dried chiles. Mexican cheeses. Chorizo. Tortillas, and of course masa if you want to make your own. Large selection of meat and poultry, including parts that gringos don't eat, also at excellent prices. Butcher counter if you don't see what you want. Seafood counter has whole fish on ice, cleaned to order. Soft drink flavors you've never heard of. A line of pinatas hanging from the ceiling in the front. My only gripe: you can't buy just one jalapeno (which is what my chili recipe calls for since I use several varieties of pepper). I also did not see the french style bread used for tortas.

This a latino super mercado…read more Shopping at this location is good cuz there are some other stores and restaurents right next to the store. Most of the stuff in the store are hispanic food and products. They have a fantastic section of fresh fruit and vegetables including greens of all kind right by the entrance. There are about 6 aisles and each one of them is a world of it's own for what it contains. There are also random boxes of stuff that are on sale which are located outside of the aisles. Big section for boultry and meat you also can get specific order from the butcher, there are also a seafood section which sells most seafood you may need. Checking out could be a little difficult cuz what I notice many times is there are at most 3 open line at any given time and that's not enough. Check out ladies always look stressed out and could sometimes be rude specially if you DO NOT or CAN NOT speak spanish.

I am only reviewing the store. The location is a bit creepy. I would not visit after dark. Odd…read morecharacters loiter around the parking lot and pan handlers wait for people to exit. If you can get past that, I LOVE this store. Hubby and I binge watch cooking shows on YouTube. I am working on lifestyle changes and cooking healthier. This international store has Asian, Indian, African and Hispanic products. The produce is wonderful. You can find fresh cilantro (3 bunches for $1.00), inexpensive ginger (quality bunches for approx $3.50) and lots of fresh herbs. The tofu selection made me cry. There are items I haven't heard of. There isn't just one of anything. There are shelves dedicated just for soy sauce. One aisle was stocked with rices and dried beans. The "scarey section" (i.e. meats & seafood) wasn't as shocking as the Alexandria LA Mart (no goat heads). There were lots of fish and seafood choices. The dessert and sweets rows had interesting items. As a ketchup recovering addict, I never knew there were tomato candies. I suggest visiting this location.

I saw a rat in there the other day and i saw another one today eating the veggies on the vegetable stalls. I also saw rats dropping in the little corner. Its disgusting. This place needs to shut down because they violate the law and put people's health at risk.

I finally got around to visiting SOKO Butcher Shop & man was it worth it! WOW!…read more I got the Philly, and it was worth the hype. A top tier cheesesteak that rivals anything I've had in the area, Baltimore & Philadelphia. 10/10 The wife got The Butcher on Ciabatta w/ chimichurri, horseradish aioli, arugula roasted tomato. She devoured that thing --(not AI, I've always written like this lol) well, what she could bc our sandwiches were massive. 8/10 My daughter, Paris got the wings with fries and she loved her meal as well. All in all, this was a great experience. The lady at the cash register was very friendly and helpful when I purchased my cuts of meat to make burgers later at home, the space was clean, and food came out within 15 minutes. Funny story, it was my bday so I knew my Dad was coming by my house later in the evening so I saved him half of my cheesesteak bc I couldn't eat it all, and I really wanted him to try it. After initially refusing, he finally tasted it and said it was the best he's ever had, and this was hours later, after warming it up in the microwave. He asked me to send the address, and that this would be his new go to spot. Lol Definite 5 stars.

I ordered a sandwich with bacon on it but they didn't add the bacon. It's an up charge so if they…read moredidn't have it the charge should have been refunded. The service is always bad and the food is expensive so the least they can do is get the order right. When you walk in no one acknowledges you even if you're the only customer there. When they finally do they act as if they're doing you a favor by taking your order...no smile, no welcome in...nothing. One time I was there, several people were in the store and the workers were laughing and talking behind the counter. About three minutes went by before I asked if someone could hand me my order. Right after that a customer who had been there before me asked if they could order, so there's no telling how long they had been waiting before I spoke up. It's never a pleasant experience. It's a local neighborhood spot so I try to support but at this point they're playing in my face.
