Verbally assaulting drivers with swears and hollering is not traffic control. These days, cops wont even yell at cars while directing traffic. I saw several outraged drivers verbally assault them back. This isn't safe or professional, and could result in some sort of road rage that wont end well.

After having missed out on the last chicken bbq at colonial park, i was really in the mood for some grubage! so here i walked over and low and behold they had several chickens left, costing 6.50 each. It was a large sized thigh, a roll with butter, a small container of applesauce and a baked potato wrapped in tinfoil. I had one right after coming home, and I have to say it tasted pretty good. I had to toss it in the microwave for about 15 seconds and it was right whee it should have been. The event was staffer by firefighters and their wives and children, all wearing fire company clothing and so forth. There was a large tent, capable of holding two dozen people where they had he tables set up. there was a large grill, about 10 feet long, with plenty of charcoal and lighterfluid also. there was a fire marshal's car as well as an older looking (think 1950's) firetruck parked there. it was pretty hopping, with a few people lined up as i walked over, and two more going to buy chicken as i left.

It was literally a yes or no question but she just had to abuse the little power she had. Won't be needing them ever again. It's very easy to get cynical about city government in Baltimore but my limited experiences (never had an actual fire thank god) with these guys has been great. The first time I needed them someone at our house was having a medical emergency. They responded quickly and seemed like serious professionals when they got here. More recently we had a false fire alarm at our house and because we were not home the alarm company dispatched the fire department to see what was going on. Unfortunately they had to bust into our house but they were careful to do it in a way that caused minimal damage and did not leave the house vulnerable to being broken into until we got home. When I spoke with one of the responding fire fighters on the phone to explain the false alarm situation he was super-nice about it and not at all unpleasant about the fact that they'd wasted their time over a twitchy smoke detector.

We went this past weekend without realizing it was alumni weekend for Mount St. Mary's and it was super crowded. Luckily, we were able to get a table. We found out the kitchen was closing but they were willing to feed us after a long day on the slopes. We had an awesome server, tasty food, and enjoyed the night.
