It's very easy to get cynical about city government in Baltimore but my limited experiences (never had an actual fire thank god) with these guys has been great. The first time I needed them someone at our house was having a medical emergency. They responded quickly and seemed like serious professionals when they got here. More recently we had a false fire alarm at our house and because we were not home the alarm company dispatched the fire department to see what was going on. Unfortunately they had to bust into our house but they were careful to do it in a way that caused minimal damage and did not leave the house vulnerable to being broken into until we got home. When I spoke with one of the responding fire fighters on the phone to explain the false alarm situation he was super-nice about it and not at all unpleasant about the fact that they'd wasted their time over a twitchy smoke detector.

After having missed out on the last chicken bbq at colonial park, i was really in the mood for some grubage! so here i walked over and low and behold they had several chickens left, costing 6.50 each. It was a large sized thigh, a roll with butter, a small container of applesauce and a baked potato wrapped in tinfoil. I had one right after coming home, and I have to say it tasted pretty good. I had to toss it in the microwave for about 15 seconds and it was right whee it should have been. The event was staffer by firefighters and their wives and children, all wearing fire company clothing and so forth. There was a large tent, capable of holding two dozen people where they had he tables set up. there was a large grill, about 10 feet long, with plenty of charcoal and lighterfluid also. there was a fire marshal's car as well as an older looking (think 1950's) firetruck parked there. it was pretty hopping, with a few people lined up as i walked over, and two more going to buy chicken as i left.

This is not what I expected to find at a Fire House, it felt very comfortable with a smaller room off to the side with a bar and a door leading to an area for food prep on the other side of the room. This space was obviously designed for events, it is very elegant with a clear entry way for guests. Bathrooms were clean and out of the way of the party. I would encourage others to take a look at this venue. Plenty of parking and an overall wonderful experience make this the perfect space for sweet 16s, mitzvahs, showers, and even weddings!

This review is for their TheEMSStore.com operation, which is another version of Witmer, Inc. Everyone is very nice on the phone and via email, but the time frame to ship orders seems to really fall behind with no update. I ordered a zip-up fleece on December 27 and was told 20 business days. I confirmed this later due to the item being on back order and was told the order would ship by 1/28/2020. I called today and was told that it was in the final stages and would ship in 2-3 more business days. (Needless to say, this isn't 20 business days nor does it match what I was previously told.) While the call center representative that I just spoke to was beyond nice, I'm very disappointed that I will not have this item in time for me to work this weekend. The time estimates are very much mere estimates. You never receive notifications of delays. And the delays to ship once the order is completed border on legendary. The only thing that's not delayed is the almost instantaneous charge to your credit card. Yet, because they are one of the few places that has many of these uniform and outerwear items for individual orders, they have a virtually captive audience, including me. In other words, if it's not something that you need individual customization for, almost any option is better.

We thought it was a nice family activity to do for fall. They take you by tractor and wagon into the dark woods where surprises await! The line can be long so get their a few minutes before 7:00pm.
