This place is a jem and a landmark in rock music. Any fan of the extended grunge family tree that birthed Pearl Jam+Soundgarden, or bands like Alice In Chains, Candlebox, or Blind Melon, really needs to visit this place. Our tour guide Maggie is a recording engineer at the studio. She did a great job sharing the history of the studio, great stories about the bands, deep knowledge of the equipment and room's sonic characteristics, the current types of projects they work on, and the state of the recording industry in general. It was fun for our whole family - a major highlight of our trip to Seattle. I couldn't help but tear up a little hearing the isolated tracks in the room where it happened. read more

Hands down one of the best tours I've ever been on. This is a must for all gen x'ers who grew up listening to grunge. Make sure you buy tickets directly from the London Bridge website. For some reason they are $20 more if you buy them on Groupon or Trip Adviser. read more

The tour of London Bridge Studios is the coolest things that my daughter and I have done since our epic WWII tour last summer. It was an amazing experience standing in the same area where drums and guitars were recorded for the records that we re the soundtrack when I was a young man, and the music that my daughter is passionately embracing. It was goosebump inducing standing in the vocal booth where Vedder, Cornell, Staley, and so many others sang the songs that really changed the face of music in the 80's-90's. To sit at the grand piano and touch the keys that Andrew Wood played the haunting melody to "Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns" as well as the keys for "Black" was incredible. To see and feel the board that was used to mix the different parts of these albums was inspiring.Iywas incredible hearing isolated pieces from different songs recrded there in the vocal booth, a few feet away was very cool! Our tour guide (whose name escapes me) was outstanding! She was very knowledgable and patiently answered all of my "music nerd" questions. My only compliant is theey didn't have my size in tees. If you're looking for something unique, cool, and oh so memorable, I highly recommend a tour of London Bridge Studios! read more

I went here with my Mom Feb 10th and this place is heaven. We had a guide, I wish I remembered her name. (She had long hair and glasses) She made me feel very comfortable, she definitely knew her history, seemed to really enjoy her job and was more then willing to answer any questions I had. Fantastic customer service and the place itself is so incredible I can't put it into words. It was a very emotional experience to be able to hear the music that was recorded here and to go into the recording booths where legends have recorded. Thank you London Bridge Studio for even making these tours available. I have to say for what you actually get to experience here the price is not bad at all. I am honored to say I have been here. At the height of the COVID19 outbreak here, when people are dying and the governor asked people to not gather in large groups to curb the spread of the virus, London Bridge Studio decided to throw a huge party! Blasting music, drinking out in the alleyway, hanging out in groups much larger than what's recommended right now. Isn't it great that they care so much about their surrounding community that they put their own selfish desires ahead of everyone else's well-being? I guess Seattle only matters when you're name-dropping 90's grunge bands for clout. Partying is more important to London Bridge Studio than being respectful of their surrounding community. It's probably a good idea to actually soundproof your studio if you don't want people to know that your business is full of immature, self-centered people. My suggestion- transition to being a full-time recording studio museum- it's not like you're pumping out any relevant music nowadays anyway. read more

We had a split session totaling 20 hours this weekend, and spent 10 of which at LBS. The studio I think is 'as good as it gets' in Seattle. Orbit Audio MIGHT have better outboard, but the LBS space is far superior. The main room is huge, and sounds really big for live drums. The have a Yamaha grand piano which sounded really lush and beautiful. Also great guitar sounds in that room with amp and room mics. They don't have a true vocal booth, but you should be able to track something that you can keep. The control room is spacious and has analog board. They have pretty massive lobby and kitchen for downtime. Includes big screen TV, Foosball, and pool table. Nice leather couches for naps while band mate is on their 20th guitar take. Lastly, we worked with Frank Mazzeo who engineers at LBS and has his own personal studio. He was a big part of our positive experience and is VERY good at his craft. The session was run very professionally and efficiently. All appropriate studio magic tricks were used with midi and our shitload of key tracks. I look forward to future sessions and finishing this LP! read more

We wanted a special place to celebrate our anniversary. As music lovers, we decided to start our special day with a tour of this studio. In Eric, we found not just a great tour guide, but also a kind and engaging human. He shared cool stories, indulged my husband as he geeked out on the production equipment, and interacted with my kids in a way that expressed that their interests are also valued. It's a significant place in music history, with lots of interesting artifacts and great stories. It was top of our list to visit while in town, and did not disappoint. The employees couldn't be nicer or more talented. London Bridge in an excellent studio! I have worked on several projects over the past two years and I have especially enjoyed working with Shohei Ogami. I would recommend him without reservation as an audio engineer for any session. Shohei is AWESOME!!! I appreciate the artistry, the attention to detail and the integrity with which he does his job. Geoff Ott is an amazing engineer, and as an owner he is friendly and welcoming. Both studio A & B are always clean and well maintained. The Yamaha Piano is gorgeous. Whether recording with musicians, editing tape or recording as a singer or bringing in voice over talent LBS is my 1st choice of any studio anywhere. read more

Temple of the Dog, Sound Garden, Mother Love Bone, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Zakk Wylde, Blind Melon...etc... I mean come on! When you walk into a space where you can feel the energy it really blows you away. My brother and I were in the area for a few days so carved some time to tour this studio, learn the history, understand the acoustics, hear the stories and just talk about anything and everything. You don't have to be a studio musician to have an amazing time here. Understanding the history of this place and standing where it all happens was a cool time.
