Never heard from him again. Found a different contractor. Super friendly, wants the job and has been really helpful.

During the design stage, Tammy was amazing at giving an educated opinion on issues when we asked but never pressured us to make upgrades simply to raise the cost of the home. She reassured us when we were concerned about our design choices and offered to show us more options when we felt uncertain. We were very pleased with the standard features but also with the builder accommodating custom requests. We got the perfect medium between a custom build process where you, the buyer, have the immense task of picking every little thing to a standard build where you don't get any custom options. As the build process went on, Rob was extremely accommodating in allowing us to tour the work in progress and to do so safely. Tammy and Rob even arranged a special walk through so our daughter could see her new room (in progress) for her 5th birthday. Rob was always very knowledgeable and helped us keep realistic timeline expectations while also delivering our finished home well before the build contract promise date. Since moving in, the few small issues we have had have been promptly addressed and corrected by competent and friendly contractors.
