There's no seating inside the establishment, and there's only a couple tables right outside; however, most don't seem to have a problem with this as many diners simply grab-and-go! We stopped by Alimento for a late-night sweet treat after dining in Chinatown for a relative's birthday. We were immediately awed by the volume of gelato and sorbet flavors that they offered, that it took us all quite a while to decide. In the end, I selected their strawberry lemonade sorbet, paired with the extreme cookies n cream gelato. I'm sure this sounds like a pretty bizarre pairing, but the tartness of the strawberry lemonade perfectly cut through the rich chocolate of the cookies n cream. The staff are amazing - they were super patient with us (we were a group of fifteen adults) as we selected our flavors. Alimento is truly a gem, and I highly recommend stopping by sometime!

The staff member was very patient while we were deciding what to order. The scoops here are pretty small for the price -- the smallest size is one flavor only. I thought the gelato was a bit too stretchy for my liking. Flavor-wise, I really liked the white chocolate flavor.

Perhaps they enforce more strictly for dinner? We shared the traditional salad, French dip, cheeseburger, and key lime pie. Salad was pretty good, we enjoyed the mustard-honey dressing. French dip was good but not super mindblowing. I wasn't the biggest fan of the cheeseburger because the yellow mustard gave it a cheap deli vibe. Fries were great though, the beef tallow taste was noticeable and the texture was similar to In N Out fries. Key lime pie was solid, loved the crust. Service was professional and they checked in frequently. Overall I feel like the food was decent and we enjoyed the ambiance which felt like an upscale diner during the day. I can imagine the dimly lit ambiance at night would be very nice.

My order was messed up, and once they finally came around to see how things were I let them know about the mistake. No worries, mistakes happen. Once the replacement arrived I finished the entire meal before I saw her again. She was cold and acted like me eating there was an inconvenience for her. You know you work in customer service right? The ONLY reason this isn't a one star review is because of the manager. She came over and noticed something was wrong, I explained the situation and she went out of her way to fix it. Well done. I'm frankly surprised a place could have such lousy servers but such exceptional managers. It's a real head scratcher...

My bro & SIL were talking it up since they took my visiting cousin here back in June. I saw their photos and was drooling! Yeah, I grew up here but I rarely come to the Fisherman's Wharf. It's nice to play tourist, though and eat their specialties! Axel was our waiter and we sat upstairs where we had a view of the Piers and SF Bay. We came on a Friday but didn't need a reservation as there was plenty of seats. I wanted a bowl of Clam Chowder separate from the Sourdough Bread Bowl so we could share the soup. My bro ordered an Iceberg Wedge Salad and the Dungeness Crab Linguine. My SIL & I shared the roasted whole Dungeness Crab. We had some sourdough slices on the side. The chowder was fine, nothing spectacular. The crab was a little dry and not juicy and I was thinking because it wasn't peak season? My SIL said it was drier than the one she ordered in June. We asked Axel where the crab came from and he said from the SF Bay. My brother said that was odd because it isn't crab season which is typically Nov-Feb. He thinks the crab was either from Canada or somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. The crab vendors we got crabs from in February said it tapers off for them and they may get only 7 crabs in one net. That's as the season tapers off. Their fresh crabs that we bought off the boat were one of the most juiciest, tender crabs we've ever cooked! The Dungeness CrabLinguine was one of the best dishes I've ever had! I'm still thinking about it! The sauce was light, yet flavorful with wine, parsley, lemon, garlic, anchovies, capers, buttery croutons and that briney flavor in the broth. The linguine was fresh and al dente and it all came together with that sauce. I should've ordered that instead! I most certainly will order it the next time I visit as every bite is a flavor bomb! After we ate, we went downstairs to the Sourdough Bakery Cafe. I purchased an apron and a loaf of bread. They had kitchenware, cookbooks, souvenir items, baked Sourdough loaves, coffee drinks, pastries, savory baked items and even a Teddy Bear & Crab-shaped mini loaf. The clerks were Eastern European as I had a hard time understanding the one helping me over the counter. I had to ask him to repeat himself when I asked him if he could slice my loaf of bread. He asked me how many and it took me a few seconds to decipher what he said so I said "Oh, one loaf." He went to the back behind the displayed loaves and gave me this puny loaf! My brother and I looked at each other wondering why he didn't give or offer us a bigger loaf shown on the display case? Were the displays just to entice customers or is it a 2 lb loaf that's available? The option wasn't presented. Again, it must have been his strong accent, lack of enunciation and also lack of customer service. He wasn't friendly nor helpful at all which I find is a poor representation for a high-traffic, touristy destination and iconic establishment. Next time I want a Boudin Sourdough loaf, I'll save my gas, parking fee and go to the Stonestown location. Across the street we met up with my SIL who was buying really good quality $5 ballcaps and $10 sweatshirts with San Francisco logos, Warriors & Giants themes.

Located right in the heart of the action on the piers, this flagship spot is always packed to the brim with crowds and gift shops, but the experience is absolutely worth the hustle and bustle. The food quality remains outstanding despite the heavy tourist volume, highlighted by their world-famous, comforting clam chowder served hot inside a fresh, perfectly tangy sourdough bread bowl with that signature crispy crust and chewy center. Watching the bakers skillfully craft giant loaves into whimsical animal shapes through massive glass windows adds a fun, theatrical energy to your visit. While it is undeniably a tourist-heavy landmark, the combination of rich history, unbeatable waterfront views, and the mouthwatering aroma of baking bread makes it an iconic Bay Area rite of passage. We got there pretty early, around 9ish and waited about 15 mins to order and another 10ish for our name to be called. They usually sell out of the two better ones early on. We shared the chile verde. I've had the short rib before. Both early bird favorites that sell out. Both are EXCELLENT. The perfect size burrito. Equally distributed ingredients throughout the burrito so every bite is deliciously filled. No mouthfuls of just tortilla. The sauce is a must. It gives the extra little kick you're hoping for. You order outside so the vibes are whatever the streets are giving you that day but the one man show at the door is funny and patient. He didn't seemed rushed or flustered. Just groovy to the music from the early 2000's.

When people said they found one of the best breakfast burritos at Bodega I first thought they must not be from San Francisco and they must be somewhere in Eastern United States where they call any corner store a Bodega. Then I was thinking they were referring to Bodega the Vietnamese restaurant in SF. I then thought it couldn't be the Hummus Bodega on Geary boulevard or Coffee Bodega in the Marina. I then thought the most of these best breakfast burritos are in the Mission District. I finally got to find out it's a bar called Bodega North Beach which sells breakfast burritos only on Saturday mornings. On a Fall stroll on a sunny morning I landed at the North Beach a pickle ball throw away from Washington Square Park and lots of restaurants with Angel hair pasta. There was no inside in the morning because it's all to go orders. I decided to try their chorizo and sausage breakfast burritos. The sausage breakfast sausage with avocado ,eggs, and a bit flakey potatoes like some in SF. The chorizo breakfast burrito was savory but a bit tangier and the sauce enhanced the burrito flavor. It's one of the top breakfast burrito in SF but it's a worthy contender and easily a top ten in the city. Wish it was more cheesy like some in SF. San Francisco is a city is small in size but when it comes to restaurants it packs a punch that's "mega "there is always good food from Chestnut street to Van Ness to Irving and "Noriega" which is a block away from a street called " Ortega" but you won't find this salsa in a jar because their salsa is made in house at a bar which sells good breakfast burritos on the avenue of Columbus called "Bodega" Bodega North Beach is located a few blocks where Bruce Lee ( RIP) was born who also played on TV the character "Kato " if you go to North Beach in SF you will find dozens of restaurants that offer Angel hair and fettuccine "Alfredo"the breakfast burrito at Bodega has a bit of egg ,avocado, and "potato" and a hint of "tomato "
