Best cinnamon rolls of my life! I don't know how they got the balance so perfect of cinnamon, icing and soft dough but they did! The dough is soft and cooked perfectly from the outside to the center! Thank you for the love and soul in these Cinnamon Rolls! The Cinnamon Rolls at Lolly's are the best Cinnamon Rolls I've had on either coast, in the Midwest, or anywhere in the States. I believe that this will be a fact until forever. Three nerdy and swooning observations: 1) Each cinnamon roll is an individual cinnamon roll. As in, each one is precious in its composition and appreciated as such. How did Lolly's make Cinnamon Rolls philosophical? 2) These cinnamon rolls don't need any nuts or additional costuming. This is because the dough, the spicing, the icing, are too perfect to adulterate. 3) These cinnamon rolls should be eaten in the morning or day-of. That means, how ever many you purchase you should plan on consuming that day, which honestly is not as much of a challenge as it may seem. Also, soft elegant gingerbread cookies two for a dollar? My favorite thing about this place was the mentality of the owners. They raised four boys and said it was always very difficult to purchase anything to eat when they were out and about because it was so very expensive. As such, they've chosen to keep their prices extremely reasonable, even though they could charge much, much more for the food they serve. My daughter and I each had a cinnamon roll. I consider myself a bit of a cinnamon roll snob and would definitely go back again! Sometimes bakery cinnamon rolls taste artificial to me, but these were delicious! I do like walnuts in my cinnamon rolls, and they are not free, but I can totally look past that. I also purchased some short bread for the road. It was delightful as well and left me wishing I had a cup of tea to enjoy with it. I had an iced coffee and my daughter had a chai tea latte. We both enjoyed our drinks. Um, one word--ginger snaps. OK, that was two (sorry). Run, don't walk for their gingerbread cookies. Unique recipe - rectangular strips, soft on the middle, dusting of sugar outside. Sip a lovely "lappucino" (latte/cappucino) or other beverage in the vintage setting. Child friendly too. I had the trail mix, ginger cookies, the shortbread, the homemade donuts, strawberry cake, & cinnamon rolls and only have wonderful things to say. (over 3 days) I loved sitting in the shop and watching all the locals some in to pick up items for themselves, friends, and family. The owners and their pup, Dakota are gems. They made solid recommendations for places to visit and go while in Buffalo. They are welcoming and give the place a great feel. I can't say enough. I am ordering a bunch of cinnamon rolls next trip through. They are amazing. Located in a beautiful old building. It feels like you step back in time. It's a must stop! Get there quick though, the homemade sugary cinnamon rolls are known to sell out. They offer the most buttery shortbread. The donuts are a close favorite. And if you need something for that special occasion, I recommend the strawberry cake. I went back and forth on whether to give 3 or 4 stars but in the end, the delicious cinnamon rolls won out over the mediocre coffee. The rolls were soft, gooey, and warm - absolute heaven! The carrot cake was also very decadent. If you need to caffeinate, go with the drip coffee. It's strong (as advertised so you know what you're getting into) but does the trick. Don't bother with the espresso drinks and definitely don't get a chai. It's made with powder rather than concentrate and it's almost tasteless. read more
