It had a crispy exterior and was melted and gooey on the inside, so good. The baked cod and duck were both cooked well and had great flavours. But our favourite dish was actually the white asparagus. It was presented with a brown butter emulsion that made it taste soooo different from any other way I've had asparagus. It was surprising to me that I liked a vegetable dish as much as I liked this one! The beef tongue was perfectly tender and the wild goose was beautifully tender. I can't say enough about their bread. It's like their version of a sour dough brioche that has been finished off on the grill. And the dip that it comes with is crack. The best part is you can have as much of it as you like. The wine pairings also went very well with the courses. It really complemented the dishes perfectly. And after dinner, you can even sit in their garden with a warm fire pit. If you have a chance, make a reservation to Amass. You won't be disappointed.

The fries were crispy and came with some kind of an aioli-like dip. Plenty of outdoor seating at this restaurant and you order inside at the bar using your table number, which you can find at your table. A favorite for us was the seafood tartare and the oysters. The baked langoustine was hyped a bit when it was delivered but was probably our least favorite. A bit of work for not that much reward. But then the whole fish came and it was so wonderfully buttered/cooked that it revived us. And then the sorbet with the merengue- just such a lovely final course. As the menu goes along you then see the breakdown of expertise... Relæ is almost an indescribable flavor experience that often presented things on paper that didn't make sense but were ultimately delicious. It qa often challenging in the best possible way but I do know some who found it inedible. But one likes what one likes. At Jatak the techniques of Relæjave been made leas challenging if one has tried Chinese cuisine specifically from the Cantonese canon. Luckily I grew ip where the two best Chinese places were Cantonese and so I was exposed to a base understanding of the cuisine "s traditional flavors. Plays on the Cantonese pastries, steamed fish, wontons, etc are smattered throughout with a plethora of Danish ingredients and sometimes the melding of techniques. Another dish was a cabbage roll while had different leaves such as lettuce, kale, cabbage with a white sauce. Once again, sauces did not dominate but complimented the ingredients. Perhaps our favorite dish was a simple dish of perfectly cooked potatoes with a horseradish sauce. Dessert was great - a birch ice cream over rhubarb and a chocolate mousse with cookies on top. So, we went with Manfreds--sister restaurant of Relæ, opened everyday of the week from 12noon to 10p. We had a reservation at 6p on a Sunday for a group of 6, and we opted to sit outside at the shared sidewalk tables. All of us went with the Chef's Choice (7 small dishes for sharing) and we split a Size M Manfreds Tartare. Staying true to their motto: "Manfreds - (probably) the world's only veggie-focused restaurant famous for its raw meat," the Chef's Choice largely focused on seasonable vegetables and ingredients, with a few meat and fish dishes thrown in. Most of us are meat lovers, but each dish was a deeply satisfying collision of tastes and textures, and we only got more impressed with these veggie-based dishes as dinner went on. And while 7 dishes, 8 dishes if you include the Manfreds Tartare, doesn't sound or seem like a whole lot of food, we were stuffed by the end. Benedict, our server, checked up on us promptly and regularly. At one point during our meal, she divulged that the chefs at Manfreds all have 'floor shifts' when they serve, rather than cook, once a week to gain a better perspective on their customers--and she happened to be doing hers that night. I absolutely loved dinner at Manfreds. Benedict, sorry, if I got your name wrong, but you were absolutely delightful; super fun and informative. Manfreds is nestled in the cozy neighborhood of Jægersborggade in Nørrebro--just right outside the usual touristy areas of Copenhagen. From homemade pasta to great customer service, this place was amazing. I cannot tell you enough how much I would get this over and over again. They are most famous for their Pasta All'arrabbiata, but unfortunately sold out by the time we went. I decided to get the bolognese (125 SEK) instead and let me tell you... IT WAS SO GOOD. A little creamy, a good bit from the noodles, and a great portion size. If I am ever back in Sweden, I will most definitely be back.

I've also tried the Arancini which is a great starter. I'm mixed on the Porchetta and this is more of an entree vs starter unless you are sharing. The pork wasn't seasoned enough for me. Would have liked for it to have that salty/brine taste. That said, when mixed with the Radicchio, Citron Mayo and paired with their Focaccia it was good. Service is ok & good to arrive at least an hour before closing time as if it has been slow they will close the kitchen early.
