Excellent in EVERY way!…read more Yesterday, I fractured my front tooth. I called Dr. McCarthy's office and was offered an 8:15am appointment today. I live about 10 minutes away from the office, so I left with time to spare. I did not realize that I would encounter a detour that resulted in me being 20 minutes late for my appointment. I called ahead to alert the office and received a warm greeting; "That is fine, I will let the doctor know." I went to the appointment and I no more than sat in my chair when I was called back. As I walked to the treatment room, several employees said hello and called me by name. (Grant it I'm not a frequent flyer at the office, I normally show up every six months.) I sat in the chair and within a minute Dr. McCarthy came in with a smile to say hello and asked how my husband was doing. (My husband is also a patient.) Dr. McCarthy went straight to the procedure and within 15 minutes, I was finished. He explained what he had done and what to expect, but he also went on to say that we have patched the tooth before and we may want to consider a more long term solution. He offered to go ahead with impressions so if I decided to move forward with the long term solution, I would not have to come back to the office. As I was leaving, his wife (who is also a dentist at the practice) yelled goodbye down the hallway and called me by name. From start to finish, I felt that I was part of a family. They made me feel welcome, no matter if I was late for the appointment. Everyone from start to finish made me feel that I was the most important part of their day. Every office should strive for this type of customer service. I have nothing but great things to say this office and highly recommend them.

She went through a year of hell because she picked the wrong dentist to fix her smile. She picked one in the area that promoted and promised a gorgeous smile. She assured Mary Ellen wonderful results. She butchered Mary Ellen, left her with a partial while healing that didn't fit. She wanted to rush through the process, and Mary Ellen could see that something was wrong. She was without a face for a year. Having to wear a mask, have trouble eating, and have to live with the mistakes a general dentist made until she healed as she searched for someone she could trust. By the grace of God, she came across Dr. Sirakian. His website was very informative. Explained everything thoroughly. We were met by his assistant Robin, who was so kind and professional. Mary Ellen sat with Dr. Sirakian, and could feel that she was in the right hands. He could see the significant damage the other dentist did. He said no one leaves my office without a smile. He actually fixed the partial so that she could walk out feeling herself until Dr Sirakian could fix her smile permanently. Dr Sirakian is an artist, he has several years of education above and beyond a general dentist. I accompanied Mary Ellen to her appointments and to her actual surgery. Each time we were both impressed by the whole office. Dr. Sirakian is simply the best with his technique and approach. The whole office is professional and really caring. The administrative side of the practice has been very difficult to deal with over the last few months -- calls aren't returned, there's confusion over bills and appointments, and the employees at the desk often seem confused and overwhelmed. They've had some turnover in their dental staff, from hygienists to dentists, and lost some really great employees. The newer employees lack the compassion and warmth of the prior staff members. They've also become very aggressive about asking for reviews and pushing patients to provide positive reviews, which really felt unethical to me.

We had had consulted and discussed our child's case with more orthodontists than we anticipated, and received conflicting treatment plans. Not expecting a resolution, we acted on a recommendation to see Drs. Chan and Chen. These are our experience: 1. They had a busy schedule, but Dr. Chen stayed after hours to see us. She spent more than an hour explaining her findings and recommendations. To use our child's favor phrase "Who does that?" We are health care providers, so we know that this is one hallmark of a doctor who truly cares. 2. Dr. Chen is super knowledgeable. By now we have read volumes of orthodontic textbooks and articles. We have no clinical experiences in orthodontics, but we know much more about orthodontics than maybe the average parent. Dr. Chen's findings were consistent with what we understood about our child's problems and more. Her recommendations were detailed and addressed all of our concerns. Her treatment details not only agreed with the textbooks and research findings, in areas where there were controversies Dr. Chen was able to offer very sincere and clear recommendations. She was not dogmatic about her recommendations but able to offer clear explanations and good alternatives. Orthodontics is very much an art as much as it is a science, and Dr. Chen excels in both. She also offered her experiences in treating her own son about the very same problems as our child had. How reassuring is that? 3. The stuff, from Teri at the front desk to Tori the assistant, were super friendly and helpful. Our child is shy, and they made her feel comfortable throughout her appointments. 4. The office is clean, professional, and parking is easy. We drive a long distance to see Dr. Chen. We decided that she was our child's orthodontist and was worth the extra driving. 5. The practice uses advanced technologies. For example, the xray is digital. Radiation exposure is a concern for us, and digital xray has low radiation. Dr. Chen was so accommodating. She didn't mind using the xrays we got from another office to lessen the radiation exposure to our child. They use digital impression to scan their patients' teeth instead the old fashion impressions. This allows more accurate impressions and comfort for their patients. I could go on and on about how wonderful this office and Dr. Chen are. We are looking forward to getting the best orthodontic results for our child with Dr. Ivy Chen. I will update our experience, and everything so far tells us that we will have more wonderful things to say about this orthodontic practice. We are looking forward to meeting Dr. Chan, who also will be seeing our child. Getting two doctors with their combined experiences and knowledge? Where else could you get that?
