Do you think you have a back yard that is hopeless? Do you look out the window and just think..."Ugh...?" Well we did too...that is until Rob, Monica, and Marina showed up to transform our giant shitty yard into an urban oasis. Earlier in the pandemic, it was pretty evident that private outdoor space was going to be social currency and it was as good a time as any to literally get our house in order. We pulled together a Pinterest board and met with Rob who heard our our ideas and came back to us so quickly with an awesome proposal for the space. We had entertained previous contractors before and the plans never quite came to fruition. Either the budget was a bit too high, the scope a bit too ambitious, or the people just ghosted us. Logiculture was just much different in every regard in that they knew our area and our yard. The sunset is just full of shitty yards and they just intrinsically know what to do with them and their quotes are so reasonable! Us meeting and deciding to work together was like lightning in a bottle. We really loved their vibe and we felt the crew was incredibly collaborative and super communicative. They pulled us in at the right times to discuss scope changes and material selections and were happy to take on some extra projects we threw at them in total mellow stride. Their work is awesome and high quality and they don't cut corners. On top of that? They just had the best vibe of any crew we have ever worked with. Our backyard was an abomination and sad, and Logiculture transformed it into an urban oasis. Rob, Monica and the rest of the team did an incredible job with our yard. Before they arrived, it was a desolate wasteland of neglect and eternal despair. Afterwards, it's an elegant and fragrant oasis that will (literally) bear fruit for years to come. They possessed both the inspiration to conceptualize a plan as well as the ability to follow through and deliver on time. They found ways to repurpose old concrete blocks I thought were destined for the landfill and turned it into a herb spiral adding a textural constant to the yard as a whole. I'm considering starting an interpretive dance troupe and choreographing an incantation to grant my garden favor with the sun and rain deities. The team found ways to integrate aspirational and nostalgic elements for us into the landscape design process making it a really personalized experience. They were good communicators and indulged my daily musings and questions as they moved through the execution phase of the project. My one bit of frustration is that after finishing up a long renovation process on the interior of my house I'm now considering moving into the greenhouse instead since the backyard is indeed the nicest part of my lot. read more

Robert is fantastic! I have no complaints. He's super responsive and is SUPER nice. After making a mess of our backyard, we decided to hire Robert for his expertise. He assisted us in creating a beautiful sense garden for our toddler in our backyard. He was also able to install a drip system and planted many new plants for our 3 very LARGE planters and worked around our existing plants. He also made multiple trips to bring in mulch and soil. After a simple inquiry about how some of the plants looked, Robert came back within days to assist us in pruning and fixing up some of the plants. Logiculture is a small operation but it fit our needs and we definately will support his company in the future. We are totally happy with the work that Rob and his wonderful team did on our front yard. It started as a weedy, gopher ridden area that had been neglected for 30 years and now is beautifully landscaped with native plants, bee and butterfly friendly non-natives and succulents. I enthusiastically recommend Logiculure. I've been s-l-o-w-l-y mostly DIY-ing my yard into a garden over many years. I'm glad I reached out for help, which transformed my yard--part of which was a barren dirt hill--into raised vegetable beds and fruit trees and some pops of ornamental color. The end is an alive naturescape, already attracting more butterfly traffic and honey bees. But as much as I value the finished product, I appreciate how the process happened. Everyone on Yelp knows phone calls to professionals can often get lost in voicemail oblivion, but Rob responded to communications right away, quickly set-up an initial onsite visit where he suggested ideas I hadn't considered, and work was underwear soon thereafter. I wanted something very simple and rustic where nature was highlighted. He made a simple plan, more imaginative and aesthetically interesting than I had conceived of on my own. I stressed that I wanted simplicity and not too many choices. There were a couple of ideas I hesitated on, but they turned out to be strokes of aesthetic inspiration. Rob is open to feedback, but I mostly entrusted the ideas of he and Monica, his Logiculture partner. In two weeks, the two of them transformed my yard. They are hardworking, good-humored, focused, ecologically-minded, and efficient. In our upside, ailing world, a garden seems like a good investment. Our backyard has been neglected for quite some time. Now that we've finally been able to get out from under our DIY home renovation, we've turned our eye to our backyard. I really enjoy gardening, but just didn't know where to start when it came to designing the garden. I had some specific ideas of things I wanted, but had no idea how to make those ideas cohesive or visually pleasing. What I knew most was that I wanted the garden to be drought-tolerant, native plant friendly, charming and budget friendly! We could not be happier with how our landscaping project turned out! We found Rob and Logiculture through great reviews on Nextdoor.com. We have a tunnel entrance home in the Sunset. We needed: 1. planters in front of the house re-planted. 2. the tunnel planted 3. the back yard cleaned up, pruned, and some new planting 4. Various pots planted and placed in all the mentioned areas. The prior landscapers did not provide any cohesion in what they planted. It was a hodge podge of plants that ultimately suffered with the drought. It was time to reclaim our yard! Rob worked together with us every step of the way. His communication was excellent responding quickly to calls, emails, texts. He showed up on time and always left his work areas clean. Rob is knowledgeable about native plants and plants that would thrive in the Sunset climate. One morning we met Rob at the nursery and he showed us various plants that he felt would thrive in the different areas that were to be planted. Additionally we found many plants we liked and Rob would tell us if it was a good option or not; if he wasn't sure he would research it. We talked about colors, textures, size, flowers, trees, etc. Then we let Rob do his magic. It was a great collaboration and Rob pulled everything together resulting in a beautiful cohesive look that flows from the front of the house, the tunnel and the backyard. Working with Rob was a wonderful experience! TEL HI is a nonprofit located in North Beach where we serve people from 6 months old to seniors. We have a garden that we use for educational purposes and events. Rob took our ideas and mission into consideration throughout our project together which lasted for about a month. He did all of the carpentry work for our new raised beds, the handwashing station and perimeters. He also lead a team of volunteers and staff to help us demo, prep and plant our garden.
