Ok HIGHLY recommend Coconuts to anyone and everyone who likes delicious food and great service and…read morebeautiful views. Coconuts is so special to my husband and I!! We had amazing dinner dates there, on a few occasions while we were still just dating, and I'll never forget those nights thanks to the Restaurant being so perfect! lol For reference we are a couple in our late 20's/30's) & we don't work for or know anyone affiliated with the restaurant...We just really love it lol Review: The views and vibes and just the entire atmosphere was everything! I highly recommend getting a table outside near the water if one is available. It's such a calmer and more romantic yet fun and beautiful experience when you're seated at the tables near the water. The location of them are perfect for date nights or special occasions!! Especially when you go during sunset! Overall it's just a place with a long wait and is a very enjoyable delicious time. The wait is so worth it! (They don't take reservations) The place had a bunch of great relaxing yet lively yet romantic type of vibes and you're surrounded by happy people- including the employees (atleast it seems so) and THE FOOD is just. I don't have the words. I mean, basically everything we've ever ordered at this restaurant has had us in shock after taking the first bites. Like even down to the French fries being yum! The lobster siracha mac and cheese (not sure what it's called on menu) is just my favorite and I crave it everyday if my life including right now as I write this Great staff also. Pricier than a typical restaurant but worth it because it's not a typical restaurant and it's not typical-tasting food.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5…read moreAmbiance: 4.4/5 Value: 4/5 Coconuts is situated on the water with a view of the harbor. The picturesque setting is its main draw. It's very busy and loud there, though, if you are eating indoors at the bar like I was. The bartenders and barbacks are very busy. The restaurant is known for something called "Scoobies" which per Google Gemini are "crab claws (traditionally blue crab or snow crab) that have been partially de-shelled--leaving just the "pincher" as a handle--and sautéed in a rich sauce of garlic, butter, and olive oil with crushed red pepper and scallions." I didn't get the Scoobies because I was apprehensive about how difficult they would be to eat. My dishes were fried oysters, fish tacos, and coconut shrimp platter. They were all fine, but unremarkable. The platter comes with fries and cole slaw as listed, but when I said to the bartender that I didn't need cole slaw, just extra fries, he offered/clarified that I could substitute another side instead, so I went with broccoli. I did notice that there were many flies flying around when my shrimp platter came out. One of the other bartenders put out a plate of hot sauce to repel the flies, which helped. The place is famous and sells its own merchandise like shirts and hats. It is not located near other restaurants, and you'll have to walk fifteen minutes or get an Uber if you are discouraged by the waiting time. The people dining here look like they are pretty well off and are able to enjoy life.

We were…read morelucky enough to score a last-minute reservation, and I'm so glad we did because this place is SUCH a vibe. Between the city and ocean views, the sexy atmosphere, the DJ playing all the best hits, and the indoor/outdoor seating, it instantly gave upscale date night and girls' night energy. Definitely a 21+ crowd and reservation-worthy. We sat outside overlooking the views, and from the moment we arrived, Barbie (I think her name was Barbara/Barbie) was such a sweet and welcoming hostess. Our server was also amazing she was a redhead (forgot her name but shoutout to the "redhead sisters" lol). We started with the short rib empanadas, which were DELICIOUS and came with onions and peppers that added so much flavor. We also had the shrimp two ways coconut fried shrimp and ceviche style. The coconut flavor wasn't super noticeable, but overall still really good. Black Angus Filet medium. WOW. Easily the best thing we ordered. It came with asparagus, mashed potatoes, and this incredible black mushroom sauce that tied everything together perfectly. Cooked beautifully and packed with flavor. Honestly, I'm still thinking about it. My mom ordered the spice crusted salmon salad and absolutely loved it. We also tried the Alla vodka... it was okay for us personally. My cousin and I are huge Italian food lovers, so we've definitely had better, but my moms enjoyed it. Drinks were also on point, we had two dirty martinis, aunt had a margarita, and mom had a white wine. While enjoying the music and rooftop atmosphere. They even have indoor and outdoor bar seating plus bathroom attendants, which added to the upscale experience.

Make reservations, since there is a limited number of first-come first serve seats at the bar and no reserved tables left on a Friday night. Menu is tapas style and features unique, interesting cocktails with special effects. Third visit, We got a great view of the ocean next to the glass wall this time. We had the: - empanadas (2) - Waygu dumplings - good but small - Shrimp Two Ways - smaller, spicy mayo shrimp, fries - Make Your Own Margarita - you pick the juice, tequila, rim (salt vs sugar) First and 2nd visits: We had a Crystal Clear Colada which had pineapple rum and Ron Zacapa Rum and came had dry ice smoke. To make it clear, is an almost add day effort by the bartender. It was quite good and different from the white pina coladas. We enjoyed talking with Henri and the bartending service of Matthew. We at first had looked around for a seat at the bar and were on our way out after not finding one inside or outside, and we appreciated Mathew coming after us to let us know some seats just opened up. We made reservations and came back the next night where we had a corner table near the plants and overlooking the Four Seasons hotel and Residences next door. My husband had the charcuterie platter for his dinner while the Coconut Shrimp was more than enough for me. In addition to the fried shrimp, there were a whole bowl full of large chunks of shrimp in a creamy sauce. Very good! To enter, you need to enter through the roped off elevator in the Hilton lobby.

The space is a cute spot with island-style décor and high ceilings. We were promptly greeted by our server, a very kind and soft-spoken young woman. However, it didn't seem like the staff was trained to highlight featured dishes or recommend drinks, as we were left to read the menu on our own and ask for suggestions. The calamari could have been crunchier and was not served with any sauce, so we had to request a dipping option. The Hawaiian rice sounded promising and was good, but it lacked the expected sweet-and-savory balance. The Argentinian milanesa was overcooked and very greasy. Without trying to be rude, I have to say the grilled carrots were the highlight of the night. Best of luck!

If it weren't for Bella at the bar, hailing from my wonderful Massachusetts, and her lovely…read morepersonality (She deserves a 20 star), I would give this restaurant - 5 stars. WHY? Well, first of all, its Ft. Lauderdale. Ug. Not a fan. Second of all, I expect SO MUCH MORE from a Ritz Carlton (and I have stayed at several and dined at their restaurants). We walked in because the app special was dip with "caviar" and a glass of "Champagne". For $25. SO, the night before, in Boston at Del Friscos, we had the most decadent "home made" onion dip that boasted caramelized and crisp onions in a thick and decadent/flavorful base with home made chips. The RC dip? It probably came out of the CHEAP store made dip container - because that is what that watery and flavorless crp was. Caviar? Less than a teaspoon of salmon roe! DO THEY KNOW WHAT CAVIAR IN A RITZ TRULY MEANS? And the Champagne? MAYBE A blanc de blanc? (I've had good and inexpensive blanc de blancs but this was... the most deceptive act of marketing. Fine. We just consumed it without complaint but stewing inside, A part of my culinary soul died without warning. REALLY Ritz? Are you kidding me? Then our group showed up, dripping in as we told them. They tried to accommodate us. The server was beyond "incompetent" - yes that is a strong word. And I feel bad for her because we TRIED TO EXPLAIN that we would be meeting in stages and that we'd probably need separate checks or split into 4 checks - whatever their policy was. Not only did she manage to screw that up, but the food? WHAT AN INSULT! I live in New England. CAPE COD now to be exact. We're visiting a beach town. At the Ritz Carlton. How difficult can it be to make good fish and chips? Well it seems that the Ritz kitchen has never made seafood or fried french fries. In a nutshell McDonalds Mcfish would have been a better choice (and cheaper) and of course Mc fries hot out of the fryolator kick the pants out of the soggy and greasy mess we had alongside the poorly fried and flavorless fish. For the poor service of bumbling comedy of errors, the poorest quality fish I've had in a LONG time and the price for the lack of quality - I'm surprised this place is still open. I DONT LIKE giving these reviews. But honestly, if I can save someone's wallet and taste buds, OR the Ritz decides to raise its standards to what it should be (ITS A RITZ not a 2 star AirBnB!), then its warranted. But to the Bar Staff - the largest of applause. They do an amazing job with incredibly poor products.
