THEY WRECKED MY CAR!…read more They were supposed to swap a transmission and additional parts (clutch, bearings, pressure plate and so many more) and they wrecked my car on a test drive. They hit something and the wheel went into the fender, tearing up the suspension, brake, and damage to the fender and front bumper. When I spoke to the technicians they all told me different stories on what happened. The owner is a liar (he said a ball joint broke and it caused the wheel to get into the fender while it was on the lift) and replaced the broken parts with the cheapest parts that they could find. He complained because my performance parts that they damaged were too expensive and bought the cheapest crap that now needs to be replaced. They "fixed" everything that was broken and He (the owner) told me it was running great. Picked the car up and it limped home, barely ran. Took it back and they were supposed to replace the transmission they put in with my old one because the one they put in was "bad", even though it wasn't. Went to get the car again after the owner told me it was running great. I go to pick it up and I requested that the owner rides with me. Sure enough, the car drove like shit. Goes back to the shop because "my original transmission is now bad." If you are keeping count, this is now two "bad transmissions." When I finally pick the car up, it drove like garbage. The tech that worked on my car said that they just didn't want to mess with my car anymore and never took the transmission out. This is verified because I paid close attention to the short throw shifter that was installed. I confronted the owner after the second test drive with him in the car and he repeatedly lied over and over, and then had the audacity to ask me for payment. Part two: When I originally took the car there, I had a bunch of parts that they were supposed to install, including detailed instructions on what to do. After I finally got the car back home, they didn't install half of the parts that they were supposed too. On top of that, my tan interior, including the headliner, is stained with greasy hand prints. They car came back home completely in disarray. They interior pieces where never put back together, hood upright is broken, headlight assembly is broken, front end is janky, the list goes on and on. Ted is always so helpful and willing to explain any repairs or car physiology to me. What I love most about them, though, is the customer service. I only stop by about once every six months, but they still know me by name and face. Cheryl, the office manager, is always courteous and happy to help. They're willing to drop you back off at your house. One time, in fact, they closed down the shop and actually drove my car back to my house after it was serviced so that I didn't have to come pick it up. Just recently they hosted a give-back-to-the-community event that involved an outdoor movie screening, bonfire, food trucks, and partnerships with local vendors. Really, I just can't get enough of these guys. I love how close they are to my house, but it's just icing on the cake that they provide such excellent work and customer service.

Mechanically Inclined has even become my preferred provider for mechanical work and maintenance on my historical vehicles. They keep our cars running smooth and consistently quote reasonable prices. The work usually takes a little longer than they anticipate, but I've come to expect that from most repair facilities, even the dealerships. I prefer quality workmanship over a rush job. They tried to tell me I needed a whole new engine for around $12k. I had it towed to Sharp's Automotive for a second opinion. While part of what the dealership said was true, Sharp's was able to actually fix my engine without replacing it. There was a part that had to go to a separate machine shop for work to be done on it. The machine shop was backlogged and didn't get to my part for a week and a half, but I don't blame Sharp's since that was beyond their control. Apparently, my engine timing belt needed to be replaced along with a few other things; they also did an oil change. The timing tool they had was missing a part due to a former employee not putting it back where it belongs and they couldn't find it. So they ordered the missing part and had to wait a day to receive it. My engine timing parts were complicated for putting back together, so it took longer than he thought it would. He promised me I would get my car back on a certain day even if he had to work late. I did get my car back on the day he promised. All in all, I spent less than $5k for the work and I'm happy to have my car back in my garage. Scheduling the appointment by phone was seamless. Sean, who took my appointment was kind and helpful. He made it so easy and even offered to shuttle me back to work, if needed. I arrived at Right Way when they opened at 8:00 AM, along with a few other customers. Everyone was processed efficiently and there was no wait time. Nick, the gentleman who checked me in was engaging and kind. I received a phone call at 10:30 that my vehicle was ready. I arrived around noon and was happy to get to interact with Nick again. He is an asset in the way of front-facing customer service. The price was very reasonable, maybe even less than if I had gone to my usual spot. I was in and out in a few minutes. One thing I noticed about Right Way was that they treated me (a female) like a human, not just some chick that doesn't know anything. Nearly every other dealership or auto repair facility I've patronized has not been able to fully accomplish this. I also liked that they just took care of me and what I needed, without beating me up about needing new windshield wipers or to have my indicator light fluid topped up. ;o) Lastly, you just know that you are being treated fairly. They lead with honesty and integrity. Plain and simple. I went home that evening and told my husband that this was our new place to take our vehicles for service.
