These are advertised as luxury lofts. Trust me, the only luxury is the size of the apartments here and the gym room. The apartment interiors are just ok, with poor plastering/sanding work, thin sheetrock separating rooms, single pane windows with huge gaps that you have to seal, or risk humungous electricity bills. Also if you are facing Queens Blvd., be prepared for the noise and sleepless nights. The stairwells constantly have dog urine or poop on the stairs and although this isn't the fault of the building, they need to be stricter with those that have dogs. The cleaners try their best, but the elevators smell of dirty mops. There are dangerous dogs in the building that should be muzzled, that are not. The laundry rooms, no matter which floor you go to, are generally 50% out of order and it takes ages for the landlord to rectify the issues.
The gym is great. Unfortunately, there is no control of who comes in, so a resident who is a personal trainer, runs his business from here, (wow, no overheads), bringing outsiders in. They take up all the benches and throw equipment everywhere. This shouldn't be allowed. We are paying for the privilege of having a gym, and we can't use the equipment because outsiders are using it. The reception staff are mostly great, especially Candice & Sammy who always greet you. There are a few who open their mouths in the morning to say good morning! the building Super is very responsive. Location is great. Close to M & R train station & opposite Queens Center Mall.
Just look around before you make your decision to lease an apartment here.
