When people visit my closet, I often say "Welcome to Ann Taylor Loft." I'd say about 85% of the clothes hanging in my closets (yes, plural) are from this store. I love their stuff. What more can I say? A lot more. Ann Taylor Loft is the more casual and less expensive version of the Ann Taylor store. Their clothes are very classic but with a touch of flair. Most of their items are fairly affordable, and they always have a generous selection of sales items. Plus, it's safe to say that most regularly priced items go on sale fairly quickly. So if you are jonesing for that cute outfit that's a little out of your price range, you can come back in a few weeks and it should be on sale. And to top that off, they usually have great discount incentives -- i.e.: spending $50 or more and get a $25 off coupon off your next purchase. The salesgirls are sweet and friendly too. They are never pushy, but always willing to help you in whatever way you need. A great store with fantastic fashions and nice salespeople make it a place that I'll frequent for years to come. read more

After giving them a 5 star review, boy, did another sales lady set me straight. I have always been annoyed that none of their stores can look up previous purchases or receipts, so as a result, I've been good about keeping all of them. If you bring back an item without the receipt, they will only give you store credit. This time around, though, I threw out the receipt before deciding to return something. I told the sales person that I thought that was a really bad method and she responded that it's an old POS system, but it's "better for privacy," and, actually, "I think it's much better that way," she said. WHAT?! Whatever. Little does she know that after a ton of discounts applied to my purchase, I actually got that dress for significantly less than she credited me. So eat it, mean sales lady. read more

I've shopped at the Loft at Kierland in Scottsdale, Az, many, many times. I have to say that yesterday was the worst customer service I've experienced there. When I walked into the store, the clearance section had signs that said, "take an additional 50% off clearance". While I'm in the dressing room, the signs were changed to, "take an additional 40% off clearance". When I went to check out, there were 2 employees working behind the counter. I said, "those clearance signs said 50% off", when I walked into the store. The employee helping me looked at the other employee and she said, "they are 40% off". Another customer said, "Yes, they did say 50% off". So the employee that wasn't helping me said in a very rude tone, "Oh just give her 50% off!" Like it was coming out of her pocket! If you are going to change the sale signs, do it before the store opens!! Horrible customer service!! read more

Omg! I'm so upset that so how rude I was beening treated, I went in there for shoes & clothes. I found one that I liked so I was holding one shoe and asked the lady ( well first, she was ignoring me when I went up to her she pretended that she was doing something when matter affect she look dumb running left to right behide the cash register :) ) when I finally get her attention and asked to try to shoe in my size, you told that the one I'm holding in my hand IS my size. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I was so pissed off I drop the shoe and walk out.. I'm so sad because I love their stuff. :( read more

Super disappointed with their exchange policy. I shop here a lot for work and have always been really happy. I needed to EXCHANGE not return two items and because I unable to make it in until 52 days after purchase instead of the 45 they basically gave me 1/3 of what I paid. I spend a few hundred dollars a month here.. pretty disappointed. read more

Stopped by here last evening about 8:15 PM. A rare evening that I didn't have my kiddos with me so I made a quick stop at one of my favorite stores. Apparently customer service ends after eight because I walked in and perused both sides of the store, front and back, as well as clearance and petite section without a Hello or offer to help from the two ladies chatting it up at the register.If only they were as diligent and persistent as the emails I get several times daily from Ann Taylor/the loft. Will probably give them another chance, maybe it was an off night and I am partial to anything from Ann Taylor,but ladies...You got to make me feel welcome and that you're happy I'm at your store, even if it is 8:15. I love the Loft's clothing, but this store has such a rude sales/floor manager (?) woman. I was in there today and was in the fitting room. My daughter needed to use the restroom and I believe we were told by another sales lady that we could use theirs. I'd already changed back into my clothing and was taking my daughter back when the sales/manager woman rushed back and very rudely told us we couldn't be back there. I understand if there was some sort of misunderstanding, perhaps we heard from the other (very nice) employee incorrectly, but her tone and mannerisms were incredibly unprofessional and lacking good customer service skills. She didn't even ask anything. She literally ran over and said we couldn't be there and went away. Completely cutting us off. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. I don't understand what her problem was. I did not get her name but she is an older lady, perhaps in her late 40s... with a longish blonde bob. She was wearing an orange skirt today (7/29/12). I will be writing to corporate and calling to ask if there is anyone above her I could speak with. Such rude people do not deserve to work in such quality stores. read more
