If you're coming from the city, avoid rush hour and take advantage of the Saturday hours. The website has a convenient online scheduling system and you can email the salon to get on the waitlist. My other reviews about Nicole's talent and awesome personality hold up- she's so good at curly haircuts. Price is well worth the service! The new location is in a kind of a market of stylists and the niche room for Mop recreates the South End vibe quite well. Nicole has her drinks fridge, magazines and photo books, super fancy dryer, and excellent products, so nothing has changed. There is a kind of overall waiting area at the salon building with 2 chairs, but Nicole is punctual, so you won't be waiting there long. There are also general use bathrooms for the salon building that are nothing to write home about and not something Nicole can really influence anyway. I'm sensitive to smell/aerosol products and because it is a building of salon rooms, it is INTENSE in the hall/general waiting area. I wore a mask, which helped a lot, so if you have asthma or bad allergies I recommend bringing one along just in case. Of course, Nicole has some on hand because she remains awesome about COVID precautions and generally creating a safe and welcoming space. Brenda is a quality stylist and colorist who is highly creative and is able to effortlessly provide, personal, client focused service. She does not have to try - she is a natural. Having been to countless hairstylist over the years -I have stopped looking since I have found the proverbial pot of gold. At Salon Innovations the co-owner and stylist is Claudia - like Brenda, she provides the same warmth and welcoming nature when we arrive. I have seen how her clients leave, and they are very satisfied and happy at the haircut, color and service she provides. Although Claudia has not cut my hair - I would have no concerns at the quality of haircut I would get from her too, should Brenda be unavailable. Both work closely together and are a great team. So in conclusion, if you are seeking a new stylist, are in this area (worth driving to if you are not), I cannot emphasize enough that Brenda and Claudia are two classy, warm and funny ladies who can simply put, cut hair better than any other stylist I have ever had. I never received a confirmation text for my appointment yesterday in Norwood…read more MA location. I unfortunately had it in my calendar that it was for Friday. Without the text, which I'm happy to have anyone go through my phone, I also didn't receive any call that I was running late. I'm always punctual, I always call if I'm even 2 minutes behind. If they had called 5-10 after my appointment, I would have hopped in the car and made it there. Instead, I was charged automatically 25 minutes in while simultaneously getting a you missed an appointment email. The reception claimed the email was the reaching out yet I was Charged that very minute. I'm a loyal customer. I really would appreciate the refund so I can actually get my hair done. I think it's poor service for a receptionist yesterday to tell me to call back this morning and th manger in Norwood to really not care and say she can't do a thing about it. Which is untrue because when my hairs been messed up before by a new stylist , I've been given a redo for free as I looked a tiger one time. I know it's possible but the manager honestly sounded so apathetic and unwilling to even say a call could have been made before charging. I would love for a refund of $88.50 because I genuinely like the hair stylist I've used now for years.

Laura is the absolute best when it comes to hair cuts. She listens to what you want and provides…read moreit. She is a whiz with fine, straight hair (in my personal experience). Because of how fine/straight my hair is, I like a particular style and way of cutting hair that is not "how" it is taught in hair dressing school. Laura has heard this from me and provided a cut that leads from the crown of my part when it is on the side. This coupled with a blunt cut that also is somewhat asymmetrical and yet does not allow the hair in front of my ears to extend any longer when tucked behind my ears. She is also capable of long layers for straight hair to create an effortless flip-up. For my daughter, whose hair is dark blonde, she has provided truly "sun-kissed" highlights that not only looked extremely natural yet also grew out exactly as if the highlights were provided by the sun and were growing out over the winter season. Magical, truly.
