They had to come to my house 2 different times because I hadn't purchased the correct type of complicated electronic lock, but they were patient and extremely pleasant to deal with. Then I had to ask them to stop by a third time because the lock didn't seem to operate correctly- well it turned out I didn't know how to use it...No extra charges, just friendly and helpful as could be. Bought a new house and needed to add deadbolts. Herb got the job done quick. I had to call herb back because the lock had a defect. Herb showed up the next morning and fixed it. He could've easily charged my extra since it was the manufacturers defect but he didn't. If you want a reliable, and honest locksmith, locks on wheels will not cheat you. We have old doors and old locks and had foolishly tried to update the locks ourselves. I had a strange situation: I've been locked out of a home and car before, but tonight I was locked IN my home. I had guests who couldn't leave because we just weren't able to open the door from the inside nor could my neighbor try from the outside-- using the house key. (The deadbolt wouldn't budge.) I called Locks on Wheels and I was told someone has been dispatched and if I didn't get a callback to then call them again. I waited 30 minutes before calling again; they tried to dispatch someone a second time and Herb called me within minutes. He tried to guide me over the phone to fix the lock myself because it appeared the lock was something easily fixable on my end (I've texted him images), but turns out there was a broken piece so Herb sent Marty to my rescue (this is after hours). Marty fixed the lock and it's probably better than it was before! read more

I should have written this review sooner, but when you are moving from the east coast to the west coast and are facing room after room of boxes, things get put off. We purchased our home and I wanted to have all of the locks changed but I didn't know who to call. I came to Yelp and I am so happy that I did. Locks on Wheels (Herb and Liz) were wonderful. Perhaps they can blame their answering service? I called before 9 on a Monday morning and left my message with their answering service/receptionist. Hadn't heard back by Tuesday so called again. The receptionist found my name and number and time of my call the previous day. She assured me I was in line and that they had just gotten a lot of calls. Locks on Wheels Rocks! I live on the 13th floor of a high-rise condo. My small grandchildren figured out how to unlock the door to the balcony (there was a turn knob instead of a key that could be put up out of their reach).
