That said, I'll probably only visit during the off season (early spring or after Labor Day by a bit). I came here once with my dog and they're apparently very specific about dogs ONLY being in a little beach area. I wasn't letting him in the water anywhere else (I definitely want to be respectful of the main beach area and any swimmers), and he's always on leash when we visit, but I was followed around (from one end of the park to the other) by a member of the park staff during that previous visit with him They could never tell me what I was doing that they didn't like, but they kept trying to usher me out of wherever I was. Very weird and uncomfortable.

His knowledge of the river , the proper presentation , and finding fish is at the highest level. He not only is a super guide but also a great guy that makes the day extremely enjoyable. A short note on Jay M's ( NAiVE ) review. People have to realize that many ( most ) guides fish for a living. It is how they make their income. Rude kayaker's or canoeist or other boaters infringing on a guides fishing area is not something to take lightly. I've been with many guides who become protective of their way of living and rightfully so. . They do not think they own the water. They are simply protecting how they pay their bills and support their families !!! I'd suggest all fishermen if you want a great day of angling , give Mike a call. Tight Lines to all , Rhett M.

Big ol' Greg immediately busted out the hard stuff, and right when I was wanting some ice cream they made it right in front of me! I could go on for a long time, but I'll just list the Pros and the (very few!) cons below. Pros: Best All-Inclusive dining I've had. The ice cream and liquor never stopped! They make other foods too, and if they can't make it they'll go get it. Lots of blankies. You'll never get cold. If you do get cold, don't call you friend Matt and ask for the concierge while he's sleeping. He'll hang up! Very welcoming. Many people aren't used to very lifelike stuffed doggies and contact an insane asylum. Not here though! Beautiful scenery. After a great day of going to see the city of Corning or the lake near Watkins Glen (both are close! You just have to steal a car or truck. My credit score isn't very good. Oh no) there's nothing better than sitting down on the porch or comfy sectional sofa in the great lodge room to watch the sun set. Cons: Hard to find. Like very hard to find. If Matt wasn't a totally righteous frontiersman with a tomahawk we would have gotten lost and starved (ok Matt isn't that cool. I'm just hoping he'll read this and buy me ice cream) Dangerous Wildlife. The deers kept staring at me through the window. I bet they're in cahoots with the angry woolly mammoth that's been after me. There isn't really anything to *see* at the end... it just kind of ends... but then you turn around and walk back. Honestly, my dog was more than happy to explore the entirety either way. :) I do have to remove one star because their bathroom facilities aren't great.
