Looked forward to my first visit to this fish restaurant. Came out very disappointed. As a fish restaurant it was nothing special. Plates cold, as a group of eight by the time our side orders had arrived food was cold and for others they had finished thier meals just about. The meal I had was the seafood combo, not cheap at £16.50, scallops were poor, salmon was OK and the bass was a disgrace. The very small fillett (about the size of one and a half credit cards) was about 3.5mm thick and due to being a wafer it was over cooked and hard like a peice of crispy bacon. All in all it reminded me of Mulligans before it closed. The deserts were in all fairness very good if not very small in portion, BUT its a FISH resterant and that is where it failed. I left thinking that if you want mussells, prawns and oysters then great but if you want a good piece of fish then you maybe disappointed, for the fish on offer was very limited. Sorry Loch Fyne, a nice place, but left me feeling I would not want to go back, especially at the prices charged. read more
