Great drive-thru coffee shop! Really fast and friendly service! The espresso tastes very good here! The Mocha I ordered was made perfectly. When you order a Chai, you can choose between the liquid base, Oregon Chai, or the spicier powder based, Big Train Chai. I would highly recommend trying a dirty chai (chai plus espresso) with the big train powder. It is something that I always used to order at one of my older favorite coffee shops. It hits different in the best way. They have fresh baked cookies that were actually fresh as advertised. We tried the molasses cookie and we were not disappointed. The stand was clean, vibe was fun! What a busy spot! I visited on a Saturday afternoon and spent around 20mins in line. I ordered an iced white mocha, Red Bull, and a blended drink. Everything tasted great. However, they don't accept American Express so beware. Additionally, she offered me a punch card and since I'm not in the area often, I said I would give my card to someone else... meaning I would give my card to my sister who is a local. She misinterpreted what I said and told me she would give my stamp card to the car behind her which was her dad. It was unprofessional. Since the line was so long I didn't wish to hold up the line further and ask for it back. read more

Me and my kids stopped in for drinks over the weekend at Locals Espresso Stanwood. Only to pull up and see both baristas not wearing masks and proud of it. We are in the middle of a deadly pandemic and they have this attitude. This is both frustrating and pathetic. This is encouraged and allowed by the owner we found out last night. read more

I always love the coffee I get here. The ladies working are always nice and welcoming and make sure to get your order right. The only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because the line often gets pretty long and it can take a while to get through when there's only one or two people working. Other than that I recommend stopping by this cute coffee stand. read more

Latte and Mocha were good. Nothing special. We were most bothered by the fact that the barista did not have a mask on. And being stuck in the drive thru already, we didn't have the option to leave. That was very uncomfortable and we won't be going back. There are several other coffee options nearby. read more

Stumbled upon this coffee booth while exploring Stanwood. The line was long when we passed by & as soon as we got in line - the line started again behind us. Even with the line - it moved pretty fast. I ordered a 20 oz. Coconut Hazelnut Latte. It was YUM. Employees are not wearing masks. This is a drive through coffee stand. Neither of the two employees were wearing them. It's a shame because I'd love to give a 5 star review as I love the drinks and the friendly staff. But not wearing masks during a state wide mandate and rise in Covid cases is totally irresponsible. I'll gladly change my review to 5 stars if they start wearing masks. Unless that happens though, they've lost my business. read more

I have been going to Locals since they opened and they are hands down the best coffee stand around. The drinks are consistent each and EVERY TIME I go and the girls are always so friendly. Used to love this place... now every time I go the line is long, moves incredibly slow, and the baristas don't wear masks. Love this coffee stand! Mocha Breve is my favorite! The mochas and coffee in general taste way better than Starbucks and cheaper too. The baristas that run it are always super friendly. The line is usually long but goes pretty quickly. You can get a punch card for free drinks and Tuesday is double stamp day. I highly recommend checking it out! read more

Amazing! Locals as a business is great, but this particular location is above and beyond fantastic. Their drinks are always a hit. But the best quality about the Stanwood Locals is the barista team. They are efficient, friendly, and feel very genuine when they ask you "How are you doing today?". Highly recommend this espresso stand. I heard about this place at a hair salon. I'm always hesitant to try new coffee stands because there's nothing worse than spending six bucks for crappy coffee! I was at the bank and noticed the line was all the way around the building so, I thought I'd give it a try. I like that they have two windows going to serve everyone as quickly as they can. I knew I would be ordering something that isn't on the menu, and also getting something to eat. Happy to see the healthy options! Got the oatmeal to eat and a wonderful HOT coffee! I am from out of town & had never been here before. After a cool misty day coffee sounded good. Soy cappuccino on the wet side w/ 1/2 tsp of real cinnamon mixed in is my fave drink. Based off of previous reviews, I may of just had a poor experience. I ordered a vanilla latte with coconut milk. The drink was lukewarm when it was given to me, it didn't taste like there was any coffee in it, it was an odd consistency and flavor; somewhat chalky and grainy. After hearing good things about this place, I decided to give it a shot. Ordered a Red Bull charger and it cost $5.73 before tip. Unbelievably expensive when the stand I usually go to only charges $3.75! The BEST, most consistently made drinks ever! I've never been to any coffee stand anywhere where every barista makes drinks almost exactly the same (It's so nice to not feel like I can only go when a certain person is working). All the girls at Lakewood stand (my regular one, + Stanwood sometimes) are so sweet to me and my family (husband + dog, hehe!), they remember our drinks, support other local businesses like mine, and just overall make my day so much brighter! The owners seem to take pride in their biz by keeping the locations clean, well landscaped, and their branding is well thought out. Worth the short wait on a busy day for sure (always go to the places with long lines as opposed to no lines- there's a reason for each remember!). read more

Shock and awe that Locals only has 10 reviews. Raised on Camano but have since moved. Whenever I come back to town its pretty close to a tie of if I am more excited to see family or get Locals. Sorry mom. Everything taste so fresh and never burned. The drinks are much more reasonable than Starbucks or other coffee stands. The ONLY downside is there is typically a decent wait, which means, obviously its good, but it also means you have to wait a little while to get your fix. That baristas are always friendly and quick but it doesn't feel like you are just a dollar to them. read more

I am from Southern California and as my mom drove by this place I was instantly intrigued. Being from California we do not have many options for coffee besides the well known coffee shops. On our way back to the island we stopped here and all I can say I am hooked. The service is exceptional and the Chai Tea Breve was amazing.
