Not only did the employee we were working with lie about his name on the phone (He said his name was Mark on the phone. His name was Chuy. I got confirmation that I dealt with the same person the entire way through), the employee was not wearing a mask THE ENTIRE TIME when we were having a conversation with him in person. He insisted we had to pay in cash and when we inquired as to why that was? He kept yelling the same phrase over and over again. If that phrase didn't answer my question before, it likely isn't going to at 5 decibels louder 3 times in a row. After politely asking for clarification on this policy, the same man said "I'm not gonna argue with you" and hung up the phone. Now to get to the most insulting matter of hand: HE RUINED MY FRIEND'S FRONT BUMPER WITH HIS TOW TRUCK. He kept insisting "I didn't do anything wrong to your car." Then why is my friend's front bumper hanging 2 days after your tow truck handled it? $500 to pay for a tow truck towing your friend's car 2 blocks away from your place. My friend's car got towed last Sunday night, October 11. I was there along with a mutual friend of ours. The man who spoke on the phone with my friends was very rude and condescending. He constantly talked over them and accused them of trying to argue when they were simply asking questions. Upon meeting him in person he explained that he was dealing with a rude individual before we called. As someone who has worked in retail as well as the service industry multiple times, I understand how frustrating rude customers can be, but that is NOT a good excuse to be rude to people who aren't being rude to you at all. We also noticed that he spoke way more kindly to the rude individual he was referencing. Furthermore, he damaged the bumper of my friend's car while towing it and lied to avoid accountability. He kept on saying "It's not personal." and "I didn't damage your car." which are both very suspicious things to say to someone who's retrieving their towed vehicle. He did damage the car and refused to take responsibility for doing so. It is unsafe for her to drive her car at the moment because the bumper could fall off any second. The cherry on top was the racially-charged commentary. He told my friend he thought her name was only for "orientals." It's totally unnecessary to verbalize opinions like that about people's names to begin with, even moreso when you are going to be racially-insensitive. "Oriental" is a descriptor for objects, not human beings. It made me extremely uncomfortable to hear that as an Asian woman, especially when people have used that word against me in a demeaning way. read more

This was by far the excellent towing service I've had in a while! I own an older BMW and sometimes it gets mad at me and shuts off. And I had some other company in mind, Quick Towing to be exact, but they weren't reasonable nor seemed interested in helping me out. Whereas, Local Towing did exactly the opposite. I called and Mark was delighted to help out instantly, the wait was an hour but I didn't mind, I wasn't in a rush. Mark, was very knowledgeable about older BMW models, being that it is rear wheel drive, he suggested we move the car to the nearest parking lot to lift the car from it's rear to prevent transmission damage.
