I browsed some neat looking skeins of yarn (I did think the price of $15 for enough sock yarn to knit a single adult sock was kinda steep, but the yarn was really pretty and I was in the mindset to spend money) before I noticed a clear cupboard with knitted items and accessories with tags. Since I noticed some were tagged I thought they were all for sale. I opened the doors and started looking through stuff. There was a cool scarf I was hoping to purchase which wasn't tagged, but I didn't realize that initially. I was then approached by two staff members who asked "if they could help me." I asked if anything in the case was for sale. I noticed that they were tense and that the vibes were kind of off, so I said that if they needed me to stop looking through the case I'd step away. They informed me nothing there was for sale and I said okay and stepped away. They told me that there would be items for sale later at a separate event, but I really didn't appreciate the experience as it was. Getting the feeling this place only welcomes a certain type of person and it wasn't me. Which was a bummer, because I was super ready to drop some money. This shop will probably do just fine without my cash but jeez. I don't mind that a shop has rules, but I do think they really could have made a better effort to interact with new customers and make a clearer distinction on which items were for sale and which weren't when I stepped in. The situation could have 100% been avoided and they could have provided a better experience. (Also, if knitted items aren't for sale, why is like 1/4 of the store's displayed items knitted pieces with tags? Super confusing for someone who's been there for the first time, and it's not encouraging to have my first conversation with staff be "those aren't for sale, come back on a weekend." )

It allows you to check out a place you might otherwise have never visited which makes it super easy to surprise someone. Guys, make the reservations online and take your lady out to dinner or for drinks and surprise her when the painting party starts! Our facilitator was Rachel and she was awesome. She dumbed it down enough that even I felt like I was doing okay! The fact that they visit different places to hold the parties is probably the reason why there are so few reviews here but the night I went if we had all reviewed there would be twenty more 5 star reviews on here. We all had a good time and it was fun meeting new people and going outside my comfort zone to do something new. Will definitely do this again!

Everyone should have been given the choice to re-schedule as no one at our table could hear anything. We were asked often if we could hear and every time I shook my head indicating I could not hear but yet she still spent all her time at the other table with a few attempts to come closer to our table when a question/answer session started. It became SO frustrating not being able to hear that I tuned out hoping we'd get home in Time for the sitter, wishing I could just get the supplies and finish in my comfortable, quiet home with no equines within 6 feet of me. NOT the relaxing, enjoyable, therapeutic experience we were hoping for and next time we will spend the 11$ (the fee ON TOP of Groupon pricing you will get charged) on a similar planted/Halloween plant at Michaels Regarding the woman that tried to teach this class I feel bad for her as she may not know how to handle these unexpected situations and may be limited in what she can offer but this was unacceptable.... We got there about 8 minutes late and she checked our names but other people at the table were musing how anyone could have taken their seat as their Groupon was never checked...and we were in the middle of a bar. The people at my table were complaining about the 11$ fee on top of the Groupon fee... young professionals feeling like they got ripped off isn't a way to inspire repeat business... IF THERES A FEE include it in a higher Groupon price so people don't go into it feeling ripped off or leaving feeling even worse when the experience was a failure. I had forgotten that fee but the young professionals had not. It was fantastic. They carry awesome jewelry, t-shirts, tea towels, notecards and custom wrapping paper all designed by local artists. And I wanted to buy it all. (I didn't.) This is a great place to find something to treat yourself or a lovely gift for a friend. And it is located between Deeper Roots coffee and Aglamesis Brothers ice cream shop, so you can get all kinds of good things while you're in the neighborhood.

I mean, you see monogramming companies all over the internet, but rarely can you find a place where you can actually see the items before you purchase and have your initials placed on it. They have three separate areas, but the store isn't large by any means. The front area is where the baby items are. I know what and where I'm going to get the gift for the next baby shower that I attend. The middle area is where the wooden monogrammed door hangers and other ready to pick and purchase, are located. For just a bit over $30 we scored a door hanger. It was prepainted and accessorized with burlap. The back area was where the clothing, robes, and other monogrammable items were. You know, the kind of items and every southern gal has at least one of with her initials on it? This is where you can get yours too.
