I was visiting family in Hudson (from Clearwater) when all of a sudden tons of smoke began bellowing out the rear of my vehicle and my check engine came on. I was terrified and I know NOTHING about cars. LUCKILY, I pulled into D&D Auto. They could have told me a needed a new engine (I didn't) and I would have believed them and paid for one. The "HONEST" owner of the business said I only needed a small fix; fixed my car quickly; and only charged me about $70.00!!! The owner of the business was my "HERO"--so pleasant and a genuinely caring. His quote,including his mobile fee, was less than all the other quotes for my repairs . I was told I needed a new alternator, tuneup and Possibly a cracked engine block. when he checked the charging system It was fine. The only problem was a loose battery terminal. No alternator was needed, nor a tuneup his only charge was $50 for his visit. He didn't even want to charge me for an oil change. He said everything was fine.come back at 85,000 for the oil change.
