We didn't have to worry about a thing; if an issue came up (as is normal with this scope of work), it was handled right away. Communication was top notch and we couldn't love the final result more! Because of that, we didn't think twice about contracting them when we wanted our garage painted, the floor epoxied, and a cabinet installed in our dining room. If this had been our first experience, it would have been our last. Frankly, we wouldn't even had made it past the quoting process. Communication was terrible and it took far too long (especially compared to the first project that was MUCH more involved). Erik was our carpenter for the kitchen remodel and is not only top notch at his craft, but is such a genuinely nice person that we requested him for this project. Thank goodness because he saved the day numerous times! He also communicated our issues to Jeff, who jumped right on to fixing whatever he could and trying to make everything right. Everything turned out beautifully (thank you, Erik), but if it hadn't been for the two of them and our previous positive encounter, this would be a two star review.

Amy was our sells rep and helped us through the process and selection of all the materials and choices. Never felt any pressure from her at all. Erick was the lead and did most of the remodeling. His skills were outstanding and he takes pride in his work and customer satisfaction. We added a built in cabinet which opened in the master bedroom and bumped into unused space in a wall in the bathroom. We were quoted a reasonable price and Erik custom built, stained, and installed the unit on site. His skills as a carpenter really shows and my wife is ecstatic with the removable shelves and the new storage space. Thanks to his skills the bathroom came out perfectly. Schafer Brothers are not cheap but the quality of both the work and the processes make the cost worthwhile. We now have a bathroom for my son that will last, that he loves, and my wife has the extra storage space she has been wanting.

The guy came to my house in September to do an estimate for basement restoration work. A month plus later, I still haven't gotten any kind of estimate or scope of work. I've communicated with him several times and have been given the run around about how he's busy and hasn't had time to complete my estimate. During each communication, he's promised to send over the estimate in a "few days" however he never followed through. If he couldn't complete the work or didn't have time, he could have simply said that. Very unprofessional and frankly a waste of time.

I noticed a post on Nextdoor asking for handyman recommendations. There were a bunch of replies,…read morebut only 5 that seemed to match my criteria. I did research online for those 5. There was only 1 that had what I was looking for in a handyman company. Included in my list of requirements was BBB registration, insurance to protect customers and very positive reviews on all the main sites (Angi, Yelp, Google, etc.). It was also important that the 'company' be more than one person and have experience in the projects that I was interested in doing. Only one of those companies checked all the boxes: Welter Home Services. I called them and spoke with Kevin about our current and future needs. We had 3 projects. I wanted to do one to be sure I was pleased with their work (I was) before starting the other two. Kevin explained what labor and materials we needed to complete the job. He provided a detailed estimate with all materials and labor stated. Our first project was the replacement of a kitchen pantry door - including the whole door frame, hardware and trim. This required removing the old door, frame and trim - and painting the new door, frame and trim. On the agreed upon date, a Welter HS employee showed up at our door exactly on time. He was very pleasant and helpful. He completed the project, checked his work and made some touchups where the appearance as not "perfect", then did a great job of cleaning up the area he had worked in. We are very pleased with Welter HS and the work they completed for us: on time and for the price they quoted. We are moving forward with the next two projects and are looking forward to getting them completed with the same quality and professionalism that they applied to this first project.

He also does an awesome job showing us what was done to make sure we are happy with the results. For the exterior issue, we had quite a few quotes from other places that were astronomical and required a lot of work to accomplish. Sinat was able to find a different approach that saved us time and money. We definitely recommend Sinat for any house related issues and trust he will do an awesome job. Definitely will not hesitate to call him for future needs (we have an old house..)!

Jason Mitchell is a con man. He bragged about his ability and boasted about being bonded. He took…read moremy money and abandoned the job without completing it. He didn't level my floating floors before tiling (which was stipulated prior to signing the contract) and all of the tile work is unleveled and has buckling tile. The mortar is cracking and popping up. When I reached out to him for warranty repairs he told me to take it up with his attorney. I spent over $13k on a tile job for 4 rooms and I now need to have it all removed in order to have the floors properly leveled. He has no business being a contractor and I highly suggest you avoid him at all cost. My attorney has recommended that I look into a class action lawsuit against him. Edit: reply to Jason's response. Please do not believe the lies Jason has responded to my honest review of his tile failure in my home. 1st: The job was abandoned in June of 2019. 2nd: He refused to complete the job because I made the mistake of paying him the majority of the payments early after he presented a sob story about not being able to cover his pay roll. This was pre grouting before we noticed the tile was laid uneven. 3rd: I remained calm and cordial with him through the 2 months. I provided photos of the numerous areas that were unacceptable and unprofessional done. He always guaranteed he would correct the issues and never did. 4th: He refunded me $1000, not $2k after I threatened to take him to court for abandoning the job. I never signed any post agreement with him. He was supposed to create one for me to review and he never did. He must be confusing me with another victim of his. 5: I'm the one that pointed out the floating floor was not properly leveled and he tried to repair the sections after he had already laid uneven tile. His attempts made the floor more unstable. Before I signed the contract with him he guaranteed my floors would be leveled. 6: I had found a few bad reviews regarding His work prior to hiring him and he provided the same type of lies he used in response to my review here. 7: I was contacted by a former employee of his that told me my floor would start to fall apart after around a year because of Jason cuts corners. & that Jason has a history of scrubbing bad reviews with Angie's List and Yelp. 8.I turned down his initial bid as it was extremely high. I was going to hire Luna. Jason lowered his price in his bid in order to win the job. No terms were changed for the work to be completed and he guaranteed the work to be on par with Luna. After his poor craftsmanship became apparent he made a remark that he did level the floor because he lowered his price. Please note prior to the contract being signed we specifically discussed how the floor being leveled was to be included. (Not the basement floor, the main level were the tile us all falling apart now). He even made the remark "floor leveling us automatically included as it's part of properly tiling". 9. Protect yourself and find another contractor.
