They always come out steaming hot so if you're not careful you'll burn your mouth when you bite into it. It's also packed full of meaty goodness and it's dense that it's hard to hold them in your chopsticks for too long. The staff are very quick and efficient and I've never had an order wrong here. It always makes sense to go in a large group if you can as there are so many dishes to try, these small bite sized pieces, the Cantonese calls "dim sum" meaning "touch the heart", but even if there is two of you and you over order, you can take a doggy bag home! I always love the deep fried steamed chicken's feet or claws in black bean sauce. It's sounds awful, but the taste is awesome! My other favourite is the steamed Lai Wong Bao /Custard Buns. Love these steamed, hot, delicate buns, fluffy and soft inside, and full of sweet custard goodness! They really hit the spot! NB: Dim sum is typically only available for lunch, so get there early to enjoy!

The dim sum menu has only restarted in the last year and a half when they got in a new chef. The service is always prompt and courteous. Kids will be fascinated by the large fish tank and water wheel feature. The preponderence of Chinese clientele tells its own story - we are very fussy when it comes to food. The food is of good quality, quantity and ingredients - large prawns in har gau and cheong fun, crispy pastry for the char siew sow and lovely roasted meats. The food isn't greasy, a common problem for lower quality dim sum places. The pastry skins are all thin for the steamed dishes and crispy for the fried dishes. They lose a star for a slightly small menu with some old favourites missing like siu loong bow and shark fin dumpling. Also, they used to serve suckling pig and it's still on the menu but no longer available. They also do an evening menu but I can't really comment on that. It's a great place for dim sum and what they do have on the menu is first class.
