This is the amazing bar!
Lisa M.

This is a great place to get a great meal, a cocktail, and leave satisfied. The place is so cool. Brick and iron at its best. The charm of old tables with mismatched chairs, even a bench made from an old bed headboard. The staff is great. Quick to answer questions and offer suggestions. The bar is huge. Bottles upon bottles. Then there is the food. Locally sourced and cooked to order. My mom ordered the catfish. It looked delicious and she ate every bite on the plate. My breakfast bowl was absolutely perfect! Potatoes roasted to perfection with awesome hot sausage with eggs cooked to order and covered in the best sausage gravy that I have ever had! Note: I love sausage gravy and have eaten it all over the country. Bravo to the chef! We will be back!

Finally made it back for my second visit to Local Feed. This time was for a Lexington Bourbon Society group event with 25-30 people. We sat mostly on the front patio with a table or two inside later in the evening. Everyone ordered their own food and drinks. Adam and his bar staff took great care of us. They got the first rounds of drinks taken care of then took food orders. The deviled eggs were popular, plentiful, and delicious. I got the fried chicken (again) with a side of real mashed potatoes and gravy. It was fantastic (again). I really should try something else sometime. But others did and I heard no complaints. They serve breakfast any time and a couple got omelettes and cleaned their plates, raving about the hashbrowns (no meat fat to cook, so vegetarian friendly). All the cocktails were good. New seasonal menu had just started and the Marmalade Sour got good reviews. They have a larger patio out back and an ample dining room. It's a great stop when in Georgetown. Pics from my last visit but still accurate.

This is the scratch made beef stroganoff. It's fantastic.

Wow. Service, service, service! The staff was phenomenal from start to finish. The food was just as impressive--the deviled eggs, Brussels sprouts, and skillet mac & cheese were outstanding. I had the beef stroganoff, my daughter had the filet mignon, and my wife ordered the meatballs. Everything was delicious. I can't say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and go--you won't be disappointed!

This place never disappoints. We went on a Friday late lunch hours and we had the out side patio to ourselves. The staff were very attentive, kind, and helpful. The country style setting, herbs in pots in patio to use of mismatched vintage plates, makes for quaint atmosphere. The food was just what we needed for a light late lunch. 10/10 recommend. We will be returning as it has become our favorite.

Local mushrooms. Because in a fun-guy!

Nice treat for first visit. Lunch was the time of day. Nothing elaborate. Deviled eggs, local mushrooms and fried chicken. Service adequate. Location was better inside than expected from outside. I know it may be the time of year but there's a fly and fruit fly problem. Needs addressed.

2 of 6 experiences here & in no rush to go back. Last awful experience, I refused to give them another shot (years later you would hope they get it right, especially w/ service). The hostess is the first impression. We were the only patrons for Kayla who sat us & took our order so it wasn't like an overwhelmed, short staffing attitude. It was snooty, rude, no she can not turn the fan off that's why they 'wear sweaters to work'... though it's freezing inside & outside ok... so the freshly brewed super strong coffee, kept my hands warm. Ordered the omelet add ham... she said no, the ham for the Benedict is only for the Benedict... lol ok. Service zero once again. Like I'm doing you a favor. Mind youn I'm a great tipper anyways. The omelet was 4 stars. Mushrooms, farmers cheese... guess that was goat cheese, always a nice combo. Compliments to the chef for the tomato jam spread which truly made the omelet. Add sausage since ham was an issue, & for me a meat was needed! Replaced the grits or 'hash browns' sides, which were home fries, for salad w/ herb vinegarette on my order. It was fresh, a bit bland. (Sausage or something gave us both heartburn, not their fault just fyi) Overall, if I owned a restaurant, local food, local support is want friendly service to all guests & a smile upon entering & leaving. 4 of 6 times dining here have been awful service.

Inside seating area

Gorgeous repurposing of an old building. Cool & quirky design. Not all matchy & I loved it! Fully stocked bar. Outside seating as well. Went there with my son & we had a brisket sandwich with mac & cheese & a catfish po boy with hush puppies. Everything tasted amazing! Service was pleasant on top of everything. Totally recommend & will gladly stop again when in the area.

Chicken and dumplings

This is a perfect spot for local eats and a relaxing atmosphere. My friend and I checked this out for weekend brunch. The mimosas are delicious with fresh squeezed orange juice. The chicken and dumplings dish was a great choice and very flavorful.

The fried chicken was light and seasoned perfectly. Helpful waiter and cool vibe. Love the old building, exposed brick walls.

It would be hard to have less flavor with these ingredients. Not great. Pricey. Service was subpar as well.

waited 25 minuets with no interaction from staff. Food looked and smelled good but we never got to find out since we were never served.

Holy freezing my arse off batman! I literally sat outside until the food was done because it was…read moreso freaking cold inside the restaurant, I was wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt and SHIVERING. But, I liked my food. Hubs and I split a chicken biscuit with goat cheese and hot pepper jelly and it was really good. We had a side of fried green tomatoes that also hit the spot. My friend loved the bowl she got but said the peach side was a miss; it was all goo, whipped cream and a few canned peaches. My other friend seemed unenthused with the peach frenchie (french toast biscuit?) and also grumbled about canned peaches. Peach season in the south merits fresh peaches, so I can understand the disappointment. They had some really tasty and new-to-me craft sodas on the fountain from "Tractor"; cherry cream, blood orange, lemongrass, and cucumber. Only the cherry cream actually tasted like what it said it was, but they all tasted good and very sugary. I did not expect to like the cucumber one but if you hadn't told me what it was I would never have guessed cucumber. Anyway, I would absolutely come back for a chicken biscuit and fried green tomatoes but I'd wear a parka.

Just found my new favorite breakfast spot! I got the Smokeshow breakfast and I did not want it to…read moreend! I had to take 2 pics because I needed to show you the sausage in the omelette....so delicious! The house fries were hot and fresh so yummy!!! I thought I wouldn't like the tomato it said in the menu description but they were a delightful treat and really did something special for the dish. The decor and ambience is real nice. Clean and open. The only thing I didn't really like was the way the server took my order but she was nicer when she brought my items to me. Who knows everyone has a bad day so no hard feelings. The food fully made up for it! Can't wait to come back. Who knows what deliciousness I'll have next time!
