Unfortunately now it's really just a bank with lipstick on it to make it look like a credit union. The branch I deal with in Garden City is fine. The staff are pleasant other than always pushing people to loan more money....probably because savings rates are terrible. The fees are just like a bank. The dividends they talk about really only get large or benefit people when you have lots of loans with them. The main customer service is a TERRIBLE. I think they received their training at cable company customer service organizations. The people on the main telephone line are rude, ill informed, and don't help at all. They don't really care that you are a member. They treat you like you are just a number. Very impersonal which is really too bad because prior to changing their name to DFCU they were great. If you want to be treated like a bank number or a credit card holder this is the place for you. If you want a more personal experience seek out another credit union. There are tons out there so you don't have to have DFCU's bank experience.

After waiting a long time, I looked into the manager's office. What an incredibly rude and nasty look she gave me, wow! Eventually I got my sunglasses. There was a second pair of sunglasses that had fallen in there also. I told her she should get them and put them in the lost and found. She gave me another dirty scowl and said, no I'll leave them there. Just an unfriendly, nasty, rude woman who scowls at clients as if they are an interruption of her day.
