I have been with DCFCU for over two years now and I am pleased and impressed with the services they provide for members. Whenever I've had a question I have called or stopped in and all my questions were answered. When I did have an issue, it was resolved immediately and steps were taken to ensure it would not happen again. If you're looking for a financial institution with people that care about their members I would recommend DCFCU.

Over the years, they have screwed up my mortgage (quoted me an interest rate when we refinanced and then when we showed up for closing, it was full interest rate higher) and I walked out and called the President or whatever he was of Fifth Third and he fixed it. Had excellent credit so could have gone anywhere. Then they gave us a home equity line of credit ON A HOUSE WE DIDN'T EVEN OWN ANYMORE. Our prior house! Now.....they have screwed up my IRA. When I rolled it over into their bank after I retired, I only did so because the VP at the time was very sharp and knew what she was doing. I have NO checking or SAVINGS there for a reason. Now, all they have are a bunch of flunkies who have NO IDEA what they are doing. Like every other business, the CEO's are making the big money and they are hiring minimum wage people. I set up my IRA with them when I retired in 2015, and figured I'd better check to make sure my beneficiary form is right because my copy is not signed or dated. Well, they HAD NO RECORD OF THIS FORM WHATSOEVER. I went today....they checked...NOPE DIDN'T HAVE IT. The guy who I talked to today argued with me whether Michigan is a community property state! NEWSFLASH! IT'S NOT. I can make anyone I want my beneficiary. He asked what my marital status is....which DOESN'T EVEN MATTER IN MICHIGAN. I had to fill out a NEW BENEFICIARY FORM, he said the one I had was outdated. I made the guy Google whether Michigan is a community property state before I left! He didn't even know this. Don't you think a bank should know? I asked him if I would get something in the mail reminding me when I have to take mandatory distributions. He said no. Today, I was told by the "manager" yes, I would. I cannot explain just how incompetent this bank is and if it were easy to do, I'd roll my IRA into my credit union but seems like they want me to talk to a "finance manager" first. When I am smarter than a bank manager, it's time for me to go elsewhere. RUN....don't walk from this bank.

In the lobby when you walk in you are bombarded by "helpful" bankers that expect you to announce your business details in the lobby in front of everyone, under the guise of being helpful. But god forbid they should put on more than one teller, who also expects you to announce security details in a loud voice instead of being discreet. This bank practices some of the loosest security measures imaginable.

The staff members are so helpful whenever you need it and they are always doing their best to give you a great experience. Recently, my account was flagged for fraud, they detected it right away and I was able to have them dispute the charges and received my money back! I appreciate all of their help, they have been amazing and I know they won't leave me hanging when I need it the most-especially in those uncertain times when we're talking fraud! Manager Josh Turner was rude and dismissive because he decided the check was from McDonalds. I made a complaint and he called back so he could lie to me and tell me he wasn't even in the office that day. He got his co worker Robert on the phone so they could blame the poor assistant manager Mike. We do know what both Josh and Mike look like and there is no confusing the two.So, heads up Mike,they will be throwing you under the bus anytime one of them screws something up.
