Self-served restaurant. Their lobster roll is full of lobster meat, unlike other restaurant which mixed with lots of veggie. It tastes very good, love it. Kids love their fish and chips too. Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant is cleaned and bright. Highly recommend!! read more

Lobster Deck - 2 lobster rolls, chips, and Captain's platter! - Seafood Near Me - Shediac, New Brunswick

Paid for 7 lobster rolls. Asked for a few sides of melted butter, was asked to pay for them. Ridiculous after spending more than $150 and tipping on the initial order. Being CHEAP is no way to run a business. read more

Great service (for what they offer) and very relaxed place but the lobster roll was lacking much for flavor. Small roll on its own for $19.99, with fries for $$24.99. We also have the jr fried clams to give that a try for $16.99 (without fries). These were pretty good but a bit heavy in breading for us. All comes with a little tub of coleslaw. Everything packed to go as well. Would have appreciated a water station too since it's an order and pick up style place with no servers. Overall it was good and nice service (for what they do/ this style) but the lack of flavor and wasteful serving dishes etc brought my score down. read more

Food Service and audience was great worth the drive from Moncton, just to have a better meal

For the price you are going to get a mountain of food. It's honestly overwhelming. It's not the best lobster roll I had during my vacation but it was a nice environment and a great price. Wouldn't recommend as your first stop but not a bad place to check out. Friendly staff and fast service. read more

We came here after going to the Parlee beach, we ordered the hotdog for the kids and calm strips for ourselves. Hotdog is just hotdog can't complain, clam strips are soooooo good, it's very fresh and generous portion, highly recommend that! The best I have so far, will definitely come back. read more

It was okay. It seemed a little cheap in how you had to go up to order and then you are squinting at the menu when the staff is irritated when you don't know right away what you want and there are so many people standing behind you. I ordered the Captain's plate and I was highly disappointed. The batter was really bland and gross and the same batter was used for everything. I had to peel it off to eat the seafood. My husband said that that lobster roll was okay based on everywhere else that we ate at. But nothing special. My kiddo liked her lobster club. I wouldn't go back here for the price or the quality. To be honest, the first three restaurants that we wanted to go to were already closed. Go somewhere else first read more

Highly recommend! A cute little restaurant right over the bridge on Main Street. We stopped in because a fellow yelper said the lobster rolls were good. Wow - they were not kidding. The BEST lobster roll I have ever enjoyed. Hands down. And, I've had them in from Vancouver to Boston to Florida. **UPDATE: I've even tried lobster rolls in PEI. This is still the best!! And, a steal at $17CAD The roll is about the size of a large hot dog bun but it was stuffed with very lightly mayo'ed and extremely tender lobster. Killer, really. The French fries were quite good and the poutine was delicious. So glad I stopped by to let a rainstorm blow over before continuing to Moncton. read more

Lusting for a lobster roll? This is the spot. Excellent lobster rolls, fast friendly service, and a nice location.

Stopped by this casual seafood dinner tonight and very glad we did. Ordered the lobster plate. This came with 2 small (3/4lbish) lobsters of excellent quality. The side of a caser salad was "ok" with a bit too much dressing. Make sure to get this plate with garlic butter for dipping! Also ordered the scallops and fried clams. We asked for the scallops to be pan fried. This dish came with a side of fries. There was a huge amount of clams and about 10 or so scallops. Again excellent quality and not at all greasy. The food took no time to be prepared and we picked up from the counter and sat at a nearby table. There are 2 dining rooms and a patio out front with plenty of seating but a lot of people also take away. If I lived in the area this would definitely become a regular place to dine. read more

Definitely the best lobster we had in all of the Maritimes provinces. We got 2 lobster meals, one with French fries and 1 with sweet protagonists fries. I liked the sweet potato one better. And the lobsters! Omg, so tender and yummy! I can't really describe it well, but it's the best lobster! They were conveniently split in half, which made eating them so much easier. And they also came with servings of garlic butter, 100% better than just regular butter. Service was decent. The waitress did greet us with a smile, which felt very welcoming. read more

Had a nice lunch here n the covered deck. Pleasant surroundings despite being on the Main Street. I had a tasty lobster club sandwich with some of the best sweet potato fries ever. My husband had a big bowl of goid seafood chowder and regular fries - beware! A medium fries is enough for two or more!! read more

Clams were not cooked all the way. Shrimp just literally had no taste to it. Definitely would recommend finding somewhere else to eat ‍

So good. this was a last minute stop during our road trip and so glad we did!! Lobster roll was delicious, not too much Mayo which I appreciate! Also got the lobster club which is a contender ! Upsized the fries to poutine and all for $42. Expensive but damn everything was finger licking good!!! Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Unfortunately no dogs allowed so we grabbed our food for take out. read more

We had the best lobster rolls in our Maritime trip at this place. Succulent chunks of lobster seasoned just right on buttery bread. So good! The scallop platter was amazing as well. A very good amount of scallops lightly breaded and deep fried. They were done perfectly so that the subtle taste of scallop was not overpowered by the breading and were served over a mountain of fries. The chowder was OK and I'd provably skip it next time. The service was friendly and super quick. read more

We live in Shediac year round and have a few favorite places which operate seasonally- Captain Dans for the big as a baby's head lobster roll, Golden fry for their lobster roll platter, and Lobster Deck for the Clams and Chowder. Lobster Deck has generous portions, excellent fries and lovely crispy battered clams. The chowder is bursting with seafood and the the broth is not clunky or heavy like so many chowders. We love biking here for lunch in normal times, but are very grateful for the takeout option during Covid 19 restrictions. Great place, friendly people and reasonable prices considering the portion sizes. Go support this local gem- you won't regret it. read more

Great spot for a dinner with the family! Prices range from ~$10-$30 per dish, especially when you are looking at seasonally priced dishes! A lot of dishes are fried or served with French fries, but they give you an option of switching for salad, baked, mashed potatoes, or for an additional price poutine, onion rings, sweet potato fries and mixed green salads. Service was great and quick for the most part although it was busy! We had a group of 9, and they had all of our meals within 15 mins! Great spot all in all! read more

I've eating a lot of take out seafood in my day; and honestly this is some of the best. The place looks like it would be expensive but is actually super reasonable. You also have this great patio right on the main stretch. We snuck in before it got too, too busy but even then food is served fast and efficiently. Best of all, super good. The fish and chip were great. The fries, my least favorite part of any meal were tasty and the claims we had we're among the best. It wasn't greasy or loaded down, just the right amount of awesome. Now to be a yearly to bi-annual tradition. Thanks. read more

This place is a scam. $48.99 for a single lobster! Extremely overpriced and slow service, took us 20 minutes to get two dishes

I came here because after reading some reviews on the great lobster rolls I had to give it a try. The lobster roll was very mayonnaise based. That's not really my style. I would have preferred if the lobster was tossed in butter. It tasted like they mixed lobster with imitation crab meat and tossed it in a lot of mayo so it's difficult to tell, but it's possible that I'm wrong. I don't know if it was worth stopping in here for the lobster roll. read more

The seafood chowder was good and so was the lobster roll (according to my fellow diners) BUT do not order the hamburger. I repeat, do not order the hamburger! It was dry and tasteless. You will not be waited on here, but rather you'll have to order, seat yourself, and then wait for your number to be called. So this is a good spot if you want some basic seafood and fried fare. read more

Food was good, but pricey. I think $21.50 for a lobster roll and fries is a bit much, but it is a tourist trap so to be expected. That said the food was fresh and tasty and the fries were fresh cut and perfectly done. The deck is a good spot to people watch while dining. I'd visit a few other places before returning. read more

Looking for lobster while in New Brunswick...you have found the place. A clean, casual eatery where you order & pay at the counter and they bring your order to your table. The lobster club sandwich ($18 CA) and the scallop plate ($22 CA) were awesome. There is a big outdoor eating area too. Great for kids and large groups. read more

I did a road trip that took me along the coast from Shediac to Provincetown, MA and the lobster roll here was the best.

I had dinner with two friends at this restaurant on 8/17. We ordered a lobster platter which contains two small lobsters and a Caesar salad, a pan fried scallop with a salad and a bowl of seafood soup (there is no chowder unfortunately). The lady behind the front desk explained many options to me before we decided what to order. She also offered that scallops could be pan-fried if we don't like traditional way of fry. Everything of the dinner was so good! We sat on the deck right next to the main street so it was little noisy when a pickup or something alike drove by. read more

This is a perfectly acceptable place to stop for fried seafood when visiting downtown Shediac. Although we normally prefer to hit up smaller places at beaches, we stopped here because we were pressed for time and were already exploring Shediac on foot. Don't be fooled, like most places, an order of fried seafood and fries can easily feed two people. read more

Pretty good spot for seafood. We had fish & chips and clams & chips. The chips were home cut and not made from frozen. The clams were good, even if the portion wasn't generous for the price. The fish was very good. There is such a good selection of seafood in the Shediac area and this place is one to put on your list. read more

This place delivers exactly what it wants to. Good low key environment, great food, decent price. Next time I'm in Shediac, I'll be back.

Mediocre hamburger, mediocre fries(ordered a poutine but didn't get that). They are way better place in shediac for burgers imo.

Both of us had the seafood chowder on the way through to PEI. It was delicious. It came with lovely fluffy rolls of the type my Nova Scotian grandmother used to make. One of the best meals we had on our trip through the Maritimes. read more

Lobster Deck was recommended to us by someone at our hotel. I'm so glad he did because it was spot on. We went here on Father's Day before we drove to Prince Edward Island and it was a great start to our day. We first ordered a lobster roll and fish and chips. Our family shared so we got to try a little of each. We loved it so much we decided to get an order of the fried clams. The gentleman behind the counter ordered it as to go, but it didn't make it very far. My parents wanted to try one before it got cold. They said it was good so we all decided to try one too. Let me share that the clams were all gone before we left the restaurant. (Out of the three things we tried, the clams were the best. Don't miss those!) The prices are great, customer service is exceptional, and portions are good. Love this little town and wish I could've spent more time exploring here. If I'm ever lucky to make it back I will definitely come back to Lobster Deck! read more
